|One Final Gift|
Scatter me not to restless winds
Nor toss my ashes to the sea.
Remember now those years gone by....
When loving gifts I gave to thee.
Remember now the happy times....
The family ties we shared
Don't leave my resting place unmarked
As though you never cared.
Deny me not one final gift
For all who come to see....
A single lasting proof that says
I loved....and you loved me.
by D. J. Kramer
Find A Grave volunteers have connected me
to family, and I count it a privilege
to help others connect with family or friends.
It saddens me when a there is no headstone
or it's broken and illegible. I guess that's why
I like the poem....everyone needs to be remembered.

Thanks for the poem 'One Final Gift'. It perfectly expresses my sentiments.
You photographed the grave of Christopher C. Jackson.
I have been looking for information on the death of a Christopher C. Jackson who was a dairy farmer in Elyria and died between the 1910 Census and 1919 when his widow Ella Flood Jackson died in Cleveland and was buried in Calvary Cemetery with the the Flood family and with 2 of her children.
Are you able to check the death record in Elyria for Christopher.
Or do you have any suggestion for me.
Thank you for all your time as a volunteer for Find A Grave.

Please stop sending me corrections until I can get caught up. My whole inbox is full of them and it is very frustrating. I am a mom of 4 and can't spend a lot of time doing this. Thanks for your understanding.

No problem. Thanks for the good eyes! Oh, btw - wanted to let you know that I found a few duplicate entries at N. Murray Ridge Cemetery that I'll send along shortly. There seem to be a lot more duplicates at S. Murray Ridge, entered by rdhdmomx4. I'll contact her (Renee) as well. Thanks again.

I believe the plaque that someone placed is in error with that birth date of 1803. Her original tombstone indicates she was 40 years old at the time of her death in 1849. I think I will leave as 1809 for now, until can look into further.
