One Final Gift

Scatter me not to restless winds
Nor toss my ashes to the sea.
Remember now those years gone by....
When loving gifts I gave to thee.
Remember now the happy times....
The family ties we shared
Don't leave my resting place unmarked
As though you never cared.
Deny me not one final gift
For all who come to see....
A single lasting proof that says
I loved....and you loved me.
by D. J. Kramer

Find A Grave volunteers have connected me
to family, and I count it a privilege
to help others connect with family or friends.

It saddens me when there is no headstone
or it's broken and illegible. I guess that's why I like the poem....everyone needs to be remembered.

RE: Louella Volk
I'm on ancestry.com and search there newspapers but that is not something I've ever seen. I will check again. I was wondering if maybe "Elliot" or "Gordon" might be her maiden name. Those are only speculation or wild guessing. Mattie Fenners obit does not show it and I can't find one for Mattie's son Homer Fenner, died in 1947.

Could we email directly jpm1@cox.net

Louella Volk
Hi again. I'm trying to figure out why Louella is not buried with her husband Edwin in a different cemetery also can't figure out her maiden name even with her sister Mattie Fenner's obit. I was wondering if you might be able to tell me who is buried near or around her.If you get back to this cemetery and have the time. Maybe there is a clue as to why she is buried here. Also I do use familysearch a little bit but didn't think to look her until you mentioned it. Thanks.

Edwin Volk
Thank you for that information on Edwin Volk. I had nothing on him but the wife's information. I was assuming they where buried together. You've been very helpful a it's greatly appreciated. I already removed the memorial for him I created. Thank you.
