Bio Photo We began the hobby of genealogy in 1998.

Most notably is our connection to those first arriving on the Mayflower (William Bradford, James Chilton, Stephen Hopkins, Elizabeth Fisher and Francis Cooke).

RE: Harry Vanderbilt mount repose cemetery
Good morning from Delaware

Yes I did place under Harold because I was able to confirm with the cemetery superintendent that this was the 700 section plots that was Harold and his parents were interred in for this time frame. "Harry" I believe is in a newer section based on his death being much later.

Please let me know if this makes sense.

I found Harold (Harry) and posted.

His mother and father was in same plot but as seen their names not present.

I will fulfill if you confirm Mother and Fathers first names

And thx for the kind words .... makes it all worth-while for me!!
(That marker, BTW, was almost fully cov'd with sand & dirt ... I keep a stiff brush in my car's trunk just for that!)

You are very welcome. My father is buried just up the hill, and it is always an honor to fulfill requests at SFNC.

RE: Alexander Sayle
Glad to be able to help - I don't think vandalism is a real problem there - it would probably rank behind falling tree limbs, tree roots upsetting foundations, gophers & groundhogs, and just plain bad foundations that are affected by the freeze/thaw cycles over the many years. Sad condition, whatever the causes!

Hi. No I'm not related. I was scanning through the old newspapers and came across it and thought it was something special that should be seen. It fits perfect with the nice picture of him!
My pleasure!

If you (or anyone else) ever want to have a headstone repaired or cleaned in Woodland Cemetery I can recommend an excellent restorationist. I also can recommend an excellent monument dealer (s) for headstones as well.
