Genealogy has been a passion for years. Find A Grave is a way for me to "pay it forward". By helping others find their families, I can repay the many who helped me in my search. Find A Grave has been a wonderful tool for me.|
This is a hobby. I have a full-time job and can't do this everyday. Therefore, my response times may vary. To ensure there are no misunderstandings, to reduce errors and to keep my participation manageable, here are my expectations.
TRANSFERS: I will transfer memorials within the Find A Grave four-generation rule. While I do believe memorials best belong with family members, I may in some cases choose to retain them. In those instances, I will be happy to add additional information or links. Certainly, I will not transfer my own relatives except in very rare instances.
REQUESTING TRANSFERS: Use the "Edit" button; I will not respond to email transfer requests. This helps ensure accuracy. Please do not request multiple transfers in one message; one person per request. Do not send requests like "transfer all Smiths in this cemetery". To comply with transfer policy, you must fully explain your relationship to the individual. You must include your Find A Grave name and contributor number; I will not search for you.
LINKS: While genealogy is a secondary function of Find A Grave, I think linking makes Find A Grave more informative and is a great genealogy tool. Again, use the "Edit" button. I will not respond to email requests. One person per request. For example, if you want to link all the children of a couple to the parents, send an individual request for each child. Be sure to include your name and contributor number.
PICTURES: My pictures are not in the "public domain". Do not copy or distribute them without my expressed written permission.
MORE ON PICTURES: I recently got a "complaint" that I didn't "straighten" the flowers in a picture. I don't go to the cemetery to take pictures of flowers. My goal is to record the family information on the stone. I may even "crop" the flowers out of a picture in order to get a better picture of the history. Plus, I DO NOT DISTURB the gravesite. At times, I've basically "stood on my head" to take a picture so as not to disturb the gravesite. It doesn't always make for perfect pictures but, just know, I did my best to preserve the history without disturbing anything. They all need to REST IN PEACE!
MY SON: I lost my son, Dustin, in 2009. Please visit his memorial 67376999. He is sorely missed every day.
IN CASE OF DEATH: I'm planning to become a very OLD lady! It's challenging to get links, transfers, corrections when a contributor is deceased. Therefore, Kathy Vanchieri or Amanda Ware will assume control of my memorials upon my demise. It's in my will!

The pictures of their plaques are now on the Collinwood Mem Gardens sight - sometimes even two.
Hope this info will help you - I put Wylodine and Lemauel Greeson on the site and updated the pictures for Billie & Peggy Greeson and for M. Herman and Cora Greeson.

Sorry to bother you again.
Research wasn't done - I have found that Find A Grave's directions were not wrong - the OLD WARRINGTON CEMETERY is now Prater's Chapel Cemetery.
Charlie Clay Nance is not listed as buried there by: cemeteriesonly.com. However, Dorothy Coxwell - Elijah Warrington and Rosanna P. Warrington are listed on cemeteriesonly.com at Praters Chapel (Old Warrington) Cemetery. Thought you would want to know this for this case and future ones.
I always go to cemeteriesonly.com before going to Wayne co. David and Martha McDonald are on the Wayne Co. Historical Board - I have met them many times and they catalog each and every stone that is visible or readable in Wayne Co. Cemeteries - adding new ones such as Powell - all the time.
Hope this helps you. Blessings.
The Greeson Family Cemetery was moved to Wayne County Memorial Gardens some years ago.
There is an "infant Greeson" buried there, but no Lucille Greeson - maybe this one is it or she was not honored with a marker at Wayne Memorial Gardens. Blessings.
I just put a note about about Charlie Nancy - Find A Grave directions sent me to cemetery near Clifton on #338 - and there are Nance's there - but there were many more stones than 4 - must be another one somewhere. Sorry.

I was at Wayne Mem Gardens in Waynesboro this morning. Funeral Home Crew was there working. They called the office and found out that Waymon and 7 Reeder Morris are buried in Collinwood at the Wayne Co. Memorial Garden there. When I get that way - I will get photo as they told me where they are buried. RD - research done.
Cheryl, Your input is a duplicate of one entered five years before yours.

If you ever come across a photo that I contributed, please by all means feel free to use it! :) That is why I do what I do, I hope that I can get photographs of headstones for any family members who are doing family research, especially ones that live out of state and will never be able to visit for themselves!
