Mt Pleasant Cemetery
JoAnn,

Frank Abston and his wife Mary Margaret are buried at Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Cumberland County, KY. Mt Pleasant is actually located in Bow, KY and not Burkesville. If you go to the Mt Pleasant in Bow you will find pics of the graves. This cemetery is located on Montie Flowers Road and is about a mile from Clinton/Cumberland County line. Montie Flowers was my grandmother.

where is cemetery?
I was going to see how close it was to me, but am having difficulty locating where it is. Are you sure it is in Williamson County? If you click on the sign it says Newton County and this cemetery is not listed in the list of cemeteries for Williamson County.

Mary E Greer Cox
JoAnn,
I was trying to take photo's of this person for a request. Sycamore Cemetery is now called Mahomet Cemetery and it is in Burnet County. Mary's parents are buried there in Mahomet and I am assuming that she is there to as it was her home when she died. I'm going out today to see if I can find her grave. Mary's memorial id is: 26576863

Conrad Wentworth family
Dear JoAnn,

Thank you for the prompt response to my initial inquiry.

I can't help but think on the available evidence that Robert S. Wentworth, Jr., is the son of Conrad's father, Robert S. Wentworth. As you wrote that Conrad's father had a second marriage, it is very likely that Conrad had a brother several years younger than himself. Which almost certainly makes it also likely that Harriet Louise "Hallie" (Wentworth) Winters is also a sister of Conrad's and not his daughter. (Unless you have evidence of the existence of TWO women named Harriet Louise "Hallie" Wentworth--one a daughter of Robert S. Wentworth, and the other a daughter of Conrad Wentworth.)

I recently started sorting out many different records I had on army scouts, and realized that "Little Buckshot" Wentworth was in Kansas in the late 1860s. Wentworth was with Major Wynkoop when he signed a treaty with the Southern Cheyenne in 1865; was a scout at Fort Dodge in 1866; and went on a patrol with "Wild Bill" Hickok at Fort Harker on July 3-4, 1867.

I have been sorting out these records and compiling the file for Conrad "Little Buckshot" Wentworth so that I can send a copy to my good friend Joseph G. Rosa, Hickok's biographer. Perhaps you and I can exchange some information as well.

Thanks again for your response!

Sincerely,
Jim

Conrad Wentworth children
Dear JoAnn,

I am a historian and writer researching the life of army scout Conrad "Little Buckshot" Wentworth.

Robert S. Wentworth, Jr., is listed as born Aug. 21, 1874. Grace Vincent Wentworth Passailaigue is listed as born Oct. 4, 1874. Both are cited as children of Conrad and Catherine (Cecil) Wentworth. Obviously there is a mistake somewhere. I am thinking that Robert S. Wentworth, Jr. is NOT the son of Conrad and Catherine Wentworth.

Any thoughts on this?

You posted the gravemarker for the infant, Winnie Holland. Born & died in 1892. The gravemarker reads "Daughter of ?" Can you please tell me the name of the parent(s) listed on Winnie's marker. I believe she is a relative.
