My sister and I have been working on our family tree for a couple of years.|
Thanks to members of Find A Grave, who took the time to locate and list graves, we where able to find past family members, we couldn't find before and others we didn't know about at all.
So, we joined, to help others find their loved ones.
We feel, although family has passed on, they are not really gone, as long as someone remembers them.

A belated thank you for the photograph of her headstone. Thought I had sent a message already but apparently hadn't. It's greatly appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the opportunity to clear up the record! Fritz Ritzman is the 2nd husband of Mary Hagel. He only fathered one of Mary's children: Ruby M. Ritzman Harris. Mary's other two daughter: Clara and Beatrice are both from Mary's first husband: Edwin Thompson. I don't believe Clara was ever married. Thus her surname is simply Thompson, she was never a Ritzman, although she was probably raised by Fritz. Read her sister Beatrice's obit, which gives the name of her father. Thanks. Let me know if I didn't explain it clear enough.

It looked like a temporary marker supplied by the mortuary. I contacted the mortuary yesterday with the idea that they might have contact info for their close relatives and let them know the situation. I am not that close and have never met Lorraine or William.
But after 8 or more years one would think family members might want to do more if they were informed. I did a phone call this morning from a Bill Steel, who I believe is with a company that makes headstones. My wife took the call so I'm not sure.

Thanks for the marker photo. What is going on with this cemetery re grave markers? They look more like a license plate from an auto wreck. I can understand temporary ones for new graves but this one is 8 years old and so is her husband's.

thanks for pointing out the error it's corrected now.
Did you happen to take a photo of William Brown
wife's headstone? I just found out that she passed away in 2007. I can put out a photo request if you'd prefer. Her Find A Grave Memorial is # 141902601.

Thank you for taking the grave marker photo. It's really sad that his surviving family hasn't provided a suitable headstone. This metal or plastic temp marker on looks like it was hit by a lawnmower. I've never seen anything like it.
Maybe the family could be notified by the cemetery managers.
