I have been interested in genealogy all my life it seems like. Having lost one parent as a baby and having no grandparents living, it seemed a way to get closer to my folks. I loved listening to the tales the older folks told to me when I was a child and wished I had written them down. |
My kids thought it was normal to stop at graveyards as we traveled and would often point out ones we passed up. That was BC (before computers). What a difference they make. I do want to go and take pictures in my area, but the heat just want permit right now.
If I have listings that are not direct relates to me or my husband and you are more closely related than we, I will be happy to transfer them.
By clicking on my virtual cemeteries you can see surnames I am searching for.

|Jean Boling||RE: Memorial# 134650079 Joseph Dimmick|
A fascinating sidetrip, but it does not explain Joseph and Benjamin having identical birth/death dates.
|Lonestar||RE: Obadiah Robinson|
Just emailed you Obe's biography. Hope it helps.

|Jean Boling||Memorial# 134650079 Joseph Dimmick|
Don't understand how Joseph Dimmick and his "brother" Benjamin can possibly have identical birth and death dates. I find no evidence of a Joseph in the IOOF cemetery, tough I do have some of another Benjamin who died 3 April 1915.
|Charlotte Kelley||Earnest L. Kelly, F-A-G Mem. # 40689832|
I am Charlotte Kelley, Find A Grave Member No. 48189046. I also have a membership in Ancestry.com. I have been working on my husband, John's, family history. I have seen the 'Earnest' L. Kelly's info many times, but tonight while looking at the computer screen, I finally paid attention to the first name, Earnest. He is buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Panola County, Texas. My husband and I have our plots there, just a few feet from the above ground vault that 'Earnest' is buried in. Now, the info I noticed tonight. His first name is NOT Earnest. It is Edgar and middle name Lonza. He was my husband's uncle. He was the brother of Bose Franklin Kelley, my husband's father. Also, Edgar was not born in Missouri. He was born in Panola County, Texas. (You will note the different spelling of the last name.) I have found it spelled both ways on census records, and I believe that is due to the person obtaining information at the time.
Edgar Lonza, (E. L.) was the son of John William Kelley and Arminta Ursula Westmoreland Kelley.
If you'd like to transfer the memorial to me, I will add a lot more to it, including brothers and one sister.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
And, I, as well as a lot of other people, thank you so much for the work you do.
Sincerely, Charlotte Kelley
Hi Kathy: I tried to reach you. Has your phone number/email changed? Becky
|Traci's Mom||Token you left for Traci Fields|
Thank you very much for the token you left for my angel daughter Traci. She was a wonderful gift from GOD, and she's in my heart and mind every single day. Her passing has left major holes in the hearts of her family and friends.
I appreciate you helping to reach my goal of 5,000 tokens by her birthday, November 20th. Actually, thanks to you and other findagravers, so far today Traci has received 6,026 flowers/tokens. That makes my family and I extremely happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I'm thankful and blessed for your kindness. GOD bless you for your heavenly heart.
I am so overwhelmed with all the findagrave friends requesting flowers/tokens for my Traci. Thank you ever so much!
This is something I wrote for Traci:
It was a cold, quiet night at the cemetery. The snow was falling gently to the ground. The only sound that could be heard was the whistling of the wind. Off in the distance I suddenly heard the tiny sound of jingling bells. I looked around and wondered where the life was in the stillness of this cemetery.
As I gazed around, I saw a ray of moonbeam shining down on a small Christmas tree.
I thought to myself, "This is where the life is in the cemetery!"
Ring the bells this holiday season in memory of those you love.
Sharon (Traci's mom)
|Kelley Bean||Killeen City Cemetery|
Adding those obituaries was a labor of love, and I'm glad to know someone is finding it useful. It was amazing to see how many in that cemetery were related, and how much in the town is named after people buried there.
Now can you tell me how would I know that this would have been already created? Mark did have the memorial but no cemetery buried in.
When I get out and take pictures I check the cemetery for them and if they are not listed I create a memorial.
So in my eyes this is not my fault and It appears that maybe Mark should have had her listed in that cemetery, Don't you think?
Before you shoot out orders and try to tell someone they have a duplicate you need to check all sides instead of just telling someone they created a duplicate.
I really did not create a duplicate, he had it as burial place unknown.
Nothing worse than someone trying to play findagrave police and can not and doe's not know the facts.

Of course! His wife was there and I added her and made the links for her parents as you requested. If you want the transfer, just request in Suggestion tab. Otherwise, I'll take good care of her. Sherry
