|You can use any of the photos I have taken for your own use. I take them for you... not me. You don't need my permission. |
I am a hobby level genealogist. I have gone to Salt Lake City to the Family History Library to do research. I have criss-crossed many an old cemetery in search of headstones.
I take photos of gravestones in the local cemeteries: Hills Ferry in Newman, San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery outside of Santa Nella, and Patterson Cemetery between Patterson and Westley, CA.
The gravestones at different cemeteries can be very different looking. Most stones are very traditional, but sometimes the stones are a bit disappointing. In Hills Ferry the stones are sometimes the name and the grave location. In Patterson some stones are very, very small with the name stamped into the cement. I try to take the best photograph I can of those stones, but sometimes they are just stones that are hard to read because of weathering or the way they were made.

Thnaks for the help with the pictures at Hills Ferry cemetery. I am in California so rarely that I doubt that I would have been able to get that picture my self.
|Paul Auger||Thank You!!|
Thank you so much Deirdra for getting those photos! Not only do we have this long-lost ancestor's gravesite, we know he apparently went by the name "Carlos." I have *never* seen any reference to this, even from his death record. It would make since as I doubt there were many people born in the Azores named "Charles." You have done a great service for my family. Many, Thanks.

Deirdre, Thank you so much for taking the time to look up my great Uncle and his wife Ada. Very much appreciative. I'am not sure about the other Streeters, if they are relitives or not. I just came in contct with his grand daughter, so maybe she knows the others. Looking forward to seeing a photo of their head stone. Thanks so much
Thank you very much for taking the time and getting the picture of Gladys Bull. Have a great day!
