Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Daniel Carlyle Ahern and I married in 1971 and he passed away in 1986. We had three children. I now live in Texas and have remarried. I have four living children and six grandchildren.

I started realizing how neglected some cemeteries were when I began exploring Texas. I didn't realize until I found this site that there was something I could do to help preserve some of the memorials. I took a few pictures at a local cemetery and posted them on Find a grave. When I went back two weeks later, something (or someone) had knocked over the memorials. I was so glad that I had taken the pictures and posted them on Find A Grave. If you find any errors on the data that I have added, please let me know. I only add information to help others further identify the individuals.

RE: David Alexander Underwood
Thanks for fixing that link.

Yes, I am a descendant of Davidson Alexander Underwood, and of John Terrell McCain (another of the sites you manage, and which is awaiting some edits I have submitted). But I'll have to decline accepting the management of any find-a-grave sites, since I do and have done detailed research on 240+ families that represent my children's heritage, which consumes all my spare time. So far I've compiled 32 volumes and a total of about 18,000 pages, and am still working on it.

Some examples of the research and documentation I do can be found here:

first two items on the list...

Re: Davidson Alexander Underwood - Memorial #28514460

The issue is which memorial to link to as D.A. Underwood's father.

On the one hand, memorial #132995599, is for a known grave, with an original grave marker still extant, in an existing cemetery, in the same county (Stanly County, NC) in which it is known that D.A. Underwood was born, and in which it is known his mother died.

On the other hand, memorial #111381842, is for an alleged grave, with no marker, in a cemetery that no longer exists, about 775 miles from Stanly County.

Both graves are allegedly for a John Underwood who died in 1841. One can be verified, the other cannot. Neither man can really be proved to have been D.A. Underwood's father.

May I use your picture of Mr. Brownwell and any others of my family that you have taken on findagrave for my family history in ancestry. I give full credit to you and refer to the memorial #. Thank you very much, Nan

I am searching for info for William N Sellers and have not had much luck. I am the greatgrand daughter of William. My name is Sherna Stone, and my grandfather was Samuel Joseph Sellers sometimes the name is spelled with an a instead of an e. Any help you can give me would be greately appreciated.

I believe that George Washington Gardner died in either Tennessee or Virginia, not Illinois.

Green Hill White
Thanks for adding his Military records to his Memorial - it seems fitting today especially. Just FYI - Green's wife's family was hit hard by the War. Her brother was killed at the Battle of Seven Pines, a brother-in-law was killed at Gettysburg, and another brother-in-law was captured and sent to a POW Camp for 2 years like Green.

Charles P. Durham
Charles Durham is my great grandfather. Thank you so much for finding his grave. I was just wondering how you got the information for him being the son of Eliah and Elizabeth Durham. My email address is I tried sending an email to you at the email address on your bio, but it failed.
