I am an art historian living in Gettysburg and have always loved visiting cemeteries. My aunt gave me a book of our family's genealogy in 2007 and I've had so much fun gathering more information and researching the other side of my family. I'm excited to help out when I can by taking photos in Adams and Franklin Counties PA and Frederick, Carroll and Washington Counties MD. I have appreciated so much, those who have helped me out with information and photos. I am familiar with most of the communities inwhich I photograph having lived, worked or having relatives in these places so if you have general questions about the area, I'd be happy to help if you are planning to travel to or visit any of them. I would happily transfer your relatives to you if you'd like or I'd be happy to add more information for you.|

Would you be so kind to copy the grave photo that is on Joseph T. Spangler's memorial (#44032257) to his daughter memorial that I created. She is Helen Pauline Spangler, #135849576.

Don't know if you are aware of how you receive notification of edits. I didn't until someone was waiting on me to process theirs and sent me a message.
One of the 'new' changes is that you don't receive a notification e-mail, you log in and look at your "Contributor Tools" and whalaaaa there they are.

I am from Virginia and researching Sowers relatives. There are 2 gravestones in Haughs Cemetery, Frederick, MD.
John P. Sowers Memorial #84600040 I am unable to read the inscription on the lower portion of his stone below his age. Could you take a photo so it is legible or send what it states on bottom part of stone?
David Sowers Memorial #84600070-Born? is there any way you can find out the dates born or deceased?
Would the cemetery have that information-should
have their age if unable to read the stone.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi I was wondering if you could transfer a Memorial to me of my GGG Uncle John Warner to me # 84581399 so I can update his bio and dates and connect him to other family members, I would sure appreciate it, Glenn Warner # 46921402
|Andrea B||RE: Gus Fichte Info|
My first husband, who I was married to for 20 years, is a great grandson of Gustav and Melusine (Thiele) Fichte. Phil grew up around Megargel, where his grandfather, Bennie, lived on the old family property. Much of my information came from Papaw (Bennie) and his siblings. I went through an old trunk of photos and items he had stuck in a back room and got some jewels (photos) of days gone by. I am divorced from Phil Fichte (pronounced 'Fikta' by Germans, but rhymes with itchy kinda as it is now said by the American generations - Fich-tee, just 'say all the letters' is what I always told people.) I recently remarried, but kept the Fichte name almost 30 years. We have one son, and there is one other Fichte grandson from Bennie. Other than that, the only ones I know who carry the last name are Harvey and Bessie's son Ray and his son, Zack. They live in the Oklahoma City area.
I spent years doing work on the Fichte family and have lots of information, so if you have any question, I'd be happy to answer if I can! I do take pride in proving the accuracy of what I gather, and will tell you if it's something I haven't been able to prove. I believe all of Gus and Melusine's kids are now deceased. Harvey and Ella were the only two alive when Papaw died in December of 2005, and I am pretty sure they have since passed away.
I have a letter that Bertha (Gus's sister) wrote when she was in her 80s regarding the migration from Germany and settling in Texas. I believe your Anna and Bertha were the older two girls, both in their teens, so would have remembered the trip well. I will have to send you a copy if you are interested. I will have to dig a bit, as that side of the house has obviously been packed away for a few years. :D

Thanks for putting this memorial online. Charles is my husband's great grandfather. If you have no connection, would you mind transferring him to me? I just added a photo on his memorial.
If you prefer to keep it, would you please add Sr. behind his name, as there is a Jr. also.
Thanks so much.

|Kenneth D. Sell||Rufus & Alice Little|
I am confused, you named Rufus & Alice LITTLE in Evergreen cemetery but their death notice in the newspaper said that the twins were the children of Edward & Mary Menchey. However the name looks like LITTLE on the tombstone. Mary Menchey had 13 children and 7 were living in 1900. There are three other graves on the photo, are they Menchey or Little?
