I started researching my husband's family several years ago when we "inherited" all the photos, newspaper clippings, wedding invitations, etc. that his grandmother had kept. I didn't want to throw it all out because it was a lifetime of memories and keepsakes so I began to organize it on a genealogy database. Then I was "hooked"!|
I accidently stumbled onto my cousin's posting on a message board while I was searching for information on MY family and this thing just took on a life of it's own.
I volunteered to take photos for Find-a-Grave after I requested and received some for my postings. It was so exciting to see the stones that I thought it would be nice to reciprocate. I also think I have a "sixth sense" or the deceased just "call to me" because since I started taking photos, I've been to cemeteries that I've never been to and I just seem to be able to walk right up to the grave! I've done it almost every time!
If I have posted something incorrectly or if I have posted something you feel is inappropriate, please email me or leave a message and I will correct it.
I am not related to any of the postings for Mifflin County, PA so I will gladly transfer memorials to a family member, no matter how distant. PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB AT THE MEMORIAL TO MAKE THE TRANSFER REQUEST. It's much easier that way and all the necessary information is there.
Any photos I post here are free to be used by anyone. If you do not want me to use your photos, please do not claim my requests.

Thanks so much for taking the time to let me know! There was a day Find A Grave was hacked and down a while back, when it came back up, for the first couple hours pictures sailed randomly all over the website when uploaded lol I was working on a particular cemetery when it happened so whenever I receive a message like yours I know where I will find the correct memorial. Thank you very much for your help.

I kept the pages alive until I had transferred everything. It got late this morning. I hope I'm a vampire, but have no proof that it works. My destiny is to do this as long as I'm able. Re: the Rughs, everything has been entered and most accepted. Harry is still not connected, but I'm sure that will occur. I am going to "proof" the entire family in the next few weeks so you may see some more of my suggested edits. Thanks for the help. Jerry

Thank you for catching the double. I broke a rule when I put them in that cemetery because I had too much info that required them in the chain. I have pulled my posts and made the connections to their children and to Solomon's parents. You will find my edit for Ida in your emails. Please let me know if you spot any other irregularities. When I put them on in 2012 I didn't know I'd still be around to correct the errors.

I think we might have ran into each other before. I think if I remember, your husband's line was through Dorothy Lee Baker and Robert L Anderson.
I meet so many folks, it is hard to remember unless I make a note, so I might be mistaken.
Thanks Mona, always appreciated.

Thanks for getting back to me. I understand and will forward on to you any info that comes my way.
If your husband is connected through Samuel he would also be a distant cousin to me, if through Bessie or Samuel's dad, then just through marriage.
THANK YOU :)

Mona I am confused. I have found on the computer a military burial record for William H. Dippery that states that William Dippery was born 1829 and was buried in East Kish Cemetery, Reedsville, PA. in Section Lot 61 Section D. in 1906. Your memorial says that he died 1891 as well as the stone marker not 1906 and in a cemetery I can't locate. Do you know if the name of the Kish Cemetery was changed to the one he is shown on Find-a-Grave?
