RE: Sue Foreman

You're very welcome for the photos, Randal. Glad I could help out & feel free to use them in your genealogy work. Also found & photographed an Ira & Acenah Foreman in the row below Susie & Stanley. Probably Stanley's brother. Just an FYI.

RE: Directions to Porter Cemetery, Pulaski County, Missouri, USA

Thanks again.

We will at least knock on the door of the house.
We are always very careful about livestock and closing gates right behind us.

RE: Directions to Porter Cemetery, Pulaski County, Missouri, USA

Do we need permission to go on the property to get to the Porter Cemetery? Is it near the road?

That's funny about your grandfather named Grover Cleveland! My grandfather was named Grover Cleveland Mitchell! He owned the little general store in Hancock (it's the ugly eyesore building on the highway). It looked a little better back in the day, but not much. My great-grandfather Martin Mitchell had a store in Hancock before that. It burned down sometime in the 30s or 40s, I think they burned it intentionally. I wish someone would do the same with the one that is there now.

RE: Bilyeu Connection
Thanks so much for the directions to the Porter Cemetery! I will grab my brother and his truck sometime and go there. He lives near Iberia, but I live in Illinois, just east of St. Louis.

My Bilyeu connection goes way back to a 4th great grandmother. Her name was Mary Jane or Rachel or Jenny, I'm not exactly sure. She married a Hughes, and their daughter Mary "Polly" Hughes married an Eads, their daughter married a Crismon, etc. These people were all in Maries County. I don't personally know anybody named Bilyeu.

I did know of a McMillan family who lived near Hancock when I was growing up. Roy McMillan was the father; most of his kids went to school with my brother.

Porter Cemetery Pulaski County

I notice that you took a photo at the Porter Cemetery in Pulaski (Miller?) County.

Can you tell me how to get there? I know it is off of 17 between Crocker and Iberia. I would like to get there sometime this Spring. I have ancestors there (James David and Nancy Porter, Joseph Woods and Elizabeth Porter, and James Howey). My great-grandmother was a Porter. I grew up near Hancock.

Thank you for any information you can give me.

You are very welcome. Glad to be of help. I will try to go back later and determine what the full epitath said on Wiley's monument. I would be happy for you to use my photograph in your family project.
