Bio

HI All,My name is Clarence Steve Micke Jr. I go by Steve. I am actually a decendent of the Vandenberg, Perry, Laffin, Bulpitt, and Pomfret Lines among others. Micke was the last name of my my Grandfathers' stepfather who adopted him at the age of 19.I started doing Genealogy at the age of 15 when my sister shared the information she had gathered and I have been able to expand on it ten fold. I do more than just family tree, I do more of a family forest. I believe that the families were are connected to through marriage and other means are just as important as those we are decended from. I believe in the free sharing of information and am willing to share any and all information I have as long as credit goes where credit is due. If you borrow from my memorials please give credit to those who have posted the information. This includes stories, pictures and any other information. I have had work "borrowed " and then someone has used in publication copyrighting it and it has caused problems with getting my own work published. I always try to give credit where it is due please have the same courtesy. Also, If I have someone under my name who you are a direct decendent of I will happily transfer management of that memorial to you as long as that person is not a direct ancestor of mine, and as long as you are willing to share any family information no matter how little or how much you have. I will always reciprocate. Even if I already have all the information, sometimes your information may include a story or a name I am missing.I believe that Genealogy is more than just a way to trace our roots. I also believe it is a way to strengthen family ties and to get to know those who we have decended from, as well as others who have shaped who we are.My personal email is [email protected] and you can find me on Facebook under Steve Micke. Thanks, and I look forward to hearing from anyone who wishes to contact me.
