Bio Photo Active genealogist and history buff, with a special interest in Civil War and American Revolution.
My husband and I enjoy being Find a Grave photo volunteers. Living in a tri-state area, we can cover alot of ground.
If you need a transfer, please click on Edit with your information, and I will assist you.
Please do not post any death certificates, or census transcriptions. However an obituary or photo is always appreciated.
I love to travel and my passion for digital photography fits in nicely! Part of that includes prowling cemeteries and photographing unique and interesting tombstones. I am a member of Daughters of the American Revolution (Archibald Murphey, NC chapter), United Daughters of Confederacy and UDC Great Grandaughters. Also a registered member of the Bosque County Texas Pioneer Family descendants and the Oklahoma Territory First Families, Seely Families and Austin Family Association.
Cemetery and battlefield preservation are important causes I support as well as Samaritan's Purse Ministry.

Futch Family
Are you descended from Isaac "Boy" Futch (1804-1863) who moved from Georgia to Texas, via Mississippi? My great-great-great-grandmother Delilah "Della" Futch Strickland, who stayed in Georgia, was his sister.

Thanks!
Hi,

Thanks so much for the census info on Mary Eliza Futch. I have made corrections at her grave site. Would you be in a position to add a photo of the Futch Family Cemetery in Tyler County, Texas to Find a Grave?

This is interesting. Dad's side of the family is from MS, and I have many family members, still in Copiah County. Although these names are not a direct line, I have many of them in the family. Looks like the Hennington I have moved to TX.

RE: Arthur Seely Grave Plot Photo
Gayle
There is no headstone for Arthur Seely, I walked the site for about 30 mins, checking 24 up and down and 3 markers over but could not find a headstone.
Went into the office and talked to them about it and they pulled his card and yes the cards says there is a headstone. I surd them there was not; so they pulled the original book records and they show no headstone. At that point one of the office people went out to the site and verified that there is no headstone.
I did take a picture of the spot using a white peace of paper to represent burial spot ( I do this on all sites without headstones) and one of a cross view to give a rough idea of location.
Sorry

RE: Arthur Seely Grave Plot Photo
The power went out when I uploading the photo and it wipe out the picture plus the copy on my card. I will go back to the cemetery and get another photo.
Sorry for the problem.

Gayle, I just went to the cemetery and search the plot area listed. The location ( block 6, space 88) has no marker. There is grass between two others. Also this cemetery does not track whether or not someone had a marker placed so they could not help me verify either. I can post a photo of where she is if you want.

Ben Apling Burdette
Ben Apling Burdette was my great great Grandfather. I father was Maurice Roland Burdette. I am wondering if the house my father grew up in which was in Whitney, TX is still standing. I heard it became a B & B for some years.
Thanks,
Doug Burdette
