I became interested in our family history as a direct result of the avid interest of my mother and oldest sister. My life has become enriched by this desire to know where I came from. Thanks mom and sis!|
I truly enjoy Find A Grave and the Find A Grave community; who is so willing to help other researchers!
I am very willing to add to and correct any of the memorials I manage and will do so as quickly as possible. Please help me out by making suggestions through each memorial's EDIT button. This makes it much easier to locate the correct memorial to make the recommended additions and corrections. It will also make certain that I see the request. Requests made through member page messages can get missed.

Thanks for the transfers and thanks so much for all the work you've done. I walked Gilson Cemetery a couple of weeks ago on a bitter cold afternoon, taking pictures and notes. It's impressive that you and others have taken the time to log all or nearly all the graves on Find a Grave.
Lately, I've focused on the Lawrence family. Some 6 weeks ago I was scanning documents that my dad left me, including the Civil War discharge papers of James Lawrence. That set me off on a quest to discover more about the Lawrences. Strangely, although my dad often talked about his grandparents, he never said much about where they came from. Either he or my grandmother paid for genealogical research on the family back in the '50s. However, the researcher (who apparently worked in Washington, DC) had them coming from New England. With online access to census information, I believe I've tracked them back through Ohio to Delaware.
I may have questions for you in the future on the Pickrel family!

Yes indeed, SNOW. Following an avalanche of Photo Successes. Could be a sign of a well-earned season of hibernation forthcoming. Meanwhile, many many many thanks.
I'm still transfixed by Pearl Pengra's. The orb and stars. Sunlight on fallen leaves.
Don't tell anyone but while I'm working here on the computer I've got all the Netflix 100+ episodes of old TV series keeping me company and I'm down to half-watching Star Trek Voyager of all things; so when I clicked on Pearl's memorial... well yes I did experience some sort of spatial displacement ;)
It is precious, Jenean, a work of art, one of the many you've managed to create. Hibernate now.
