| Bio and Links | Got interested in this in trying to research our family tree after my Dad died and found out no one knew too much about my father's mother's side. Now I find I spend most of my spare time tromping around Western NY cemeteries, looking for my ancestors, REDDEN, GRIFFEN, WOLCOTT,KEENAN, KING, DURFEE, HAND, BROOKS, ALLEN and HARVEY.
If I've entered someone in your family I would be glad to add info or transfer them to you. If you request a transfer please state your relationship to the deceased. Thanks for "moving" them (for some reason I've always thought of it that way, even though what we really do is edit the Burial Location...)--if you see that I have duplicated some of your other entries, but don't mind deleting, that would be great. I was at the cemetery yesterday in search of James Stoddard's grave sight but was unable to find it. A lot of the stones in that area of the cemetery a weathered and mossy. I took some nearby photos of other graves in hopes to narrow my search down to get closer to finding his and hoping to fulfill your request for a photo. | Clark Cemetery, Castile, NYq
Hello Marsha,
I sent you an email, but not sure if the verification actually went thru, so I wanted to let you know I am trying to contact you regarding the Clark Cemetery.
I live near the cemetery and have been trying to revive it for the last 24 years.
2 years ago, I cleared all the brush and sumac trees, and now the cemetery is completely cleared. I have been unofficially maintaining it since, keeping the weeds down, stones cleared,and have done extensive documentation.
I have taken photos of every stone and will add those soon to Find A Grave, but I also have additional info to add.
I know someone (Garrett596) recently added some info as well. If you would let me know the best way to get the info that I have acquired added (directly thru messages here, or do you prefer thru email?), I can send you that when I get it typed up into my computer (it's all handwritten right now).
I appreciate all the work you've done on Find A Grave, and look forward to helping to add whatever I can as well.
