We live in Eastern North Carolina but spend time in Cincinnati, OH where our kids and their families call home. |
When I was young, my Aunt Marie R GAGEN, planted a seed. She was the one who kept the family tree and every time we visited the tree was discussed. As I got older I continued the tree and the research. It was the main reason for my 1st NEC computer and genealogy program, ROOTS.
My primary family names are: LEINDECKER/LEYENDECKER, GAGEN, KARL, ANSBERRY, BROGAN, PODANY and HOOVER. Pittsburgh, PA and Defiance, OH.
My wife's primary names are: PAUL, POTTER, PATE, BURKE and VOLIVA. Bonifay, Holmes County, FL.

My uncle Syril "Sheik" Lacefield was married to
Leora "Peggy" Shifflet Lacefield when she died.
Her daughter Norma Jenkins is the mother of Lois.
Thank you for creating a memorial for Lois.
Bio has been added for Teachie Taylor.

Eric, You are welcome. I do not believe my family is related to the Desgranges. Some did belong to the same church family at St. Peters Lutheran in Holgate.

Thanks much. Certainly faster than the request deserved!
Thank you, Eric, for the transfers of Billy and Phyllis Lang. I have added their mother Elsie
#141055512 if you would like to look at her memorial. She was a strong woman and a devoted mother who suffered an unbearable loss of her three oldest children. She worked hard to raise her remaining two children by herself.

Hello, Eric, thank you so much for the transfer of Sharon Lee Lang. Would you consider another transfer for her brother and sister? I will write a bio for these little angels.

Phyllis # 136406823

Hello, Sharon is one of three children killed in a house fire in 1942. The mother of these children Elsie Zornes Lang was a dear friend of my mother's from childhood. Our family knew these children very well. It was an extreme shock to lose these precious little ones. If you would feel inclined and not close to the family I would appreciate a transfer of this memorial.
Thanks for the transfer! I appreciate your kindness.
