Bio and Links
Bio Photo We live in Eastern North Carolina but spend time in Cincinnati, OH where our kids and their families call home.

When I was young, my Aunt Marie R GAGEN, planted a seed. She was the one who kept the family tree and every time we visited the tree was discussed. As I got older I continued the tree and the research. It was the main reason for my 1st NEC computer and genealogy program, ROOTS.

My primary family names are: LEINDECKER/LEYENDECKER, GAGEN, KARL, ANSBERRY, BROGAN, PODANY and HOOVER. Pittsburgh, PA and Defiance, OH.

My wife's primary names are: PAUL, POTTER, PATE, BURKE and VOLIVA. Bonifay, Holmes County, FL.

Sanderson Family, Kinston
I am trying to find the burial place for Ivey L Williams Sanderson B: Jan 22 1903 D: Feb 6 1982 Kinston(my Grand Aunt) Married to Rudolph Ashley Sanderson B: Oct 22 1896 D: May 23 1981. Ashley as he was called has Mother Peannie Hill Sanderson #117221017, Father Jonas Sanderson #117221011 and 3 Brothers Leslie, Artie, and Woodrow all buried in Maplewood and two brothers Archie #115257013 and Herman Marvin #115379826 both buried in Westview.
I feel like they are probably buried in either Maplewood or Westview and there are just no Find A Grave memorial pages for them. If I could call the cemetery they could tell me but sadly I can find no phone number for these cemeteries. Can you help? Any assistance is greatly appreciated! Donna

My cousin, Carol Jean Lamberger 1944-1973 (Find A Grave #60699712) is first wife of Jerry Leindecker 1942-2012 (Find A Grave #1397836). Jerry was the son of Jerome Leindecker 1915-1986 and Florence Prus. I see our paths are crossing on the Leindecker anestors.. I thought I would just let you know how Jerry's first wife was related to me. I have provided Jerry (1942-2012)'s son Charles Leindecker info and have attached Jerry via the family link option. Jerry and Carol were born raised in Pittsburgh. Jerry moved to Andover, Ohio around 1996. Roseanne Kocinski-Fowler

RE: St Roch Cemetery
Hi Eric- I will check out the Leindecker line and see what I can come up with. Since all the people on this monument are probably related, would you like transfers for everyone listed?

John Philip Hountha Stein
Hi Eric-I saw you have a photo request for John Philip Hountha Stein. I have not been able to locate anyone by this name. However, There is a John P. Hountha who passed in 1962. See the memorial #131920991. Could this be the person you are looking for? If so, I would be happy to transfer him to you.

You indicated her mother was Sudie M and I have found information indicating that the M was "Maglula" or something similar. But I've been unable to find any records. I did find a Sudie whose daughters were named Margaret and Lula; might the Maglula have been a middle name? Any insight you might be able to provide would be appreciated.

RE: Betz
I am working on trees that include 40 families from this cemetery. We may have parallel searches.
I am a shooter, one who goes to a cemetery and shoots pix of graves (I take about 3-600 per hour). I have about 100 volunteers who enter my pix for me. While those Betz pix are probably mine, they now belong to the volunteer and requests for changes have to go thru them.
If you have a list of families that you trace to this cemetery, send them to and I will compare.

You recently asked me to remove photos from Betz graves. The memorials are mine but the photos were entered by one of my volunteers and you will have to go thru them to get that corrected.
If you are related, I can transfer memorial ownership to you. Bill
The Betz family is very distantly related.
