Hello, I live in Chenango County New York. I am always researching my family lines Bovee, Powers, McFarlane/Macfarlane,Lewis, Strickland, littlefair, Shampang, Pendell, Law, Whitney, Bowers, and my children s Wall, Chubb, Roby and Potter.|
My hobbies are Genealogy and Photography.
I'm always volunteering my time to my children s activities when possible. I'm interested in helping organize a way to repair the old headstones in my local cemetery.
If I have ownership of any Memorial, and you would like me to transfer ownership to you, I would be very happy to. Also if there is any Information you would like added to a memorial but do not want ownership, please let me know, I would be happy to edit it for you.

You're a doll! And thank you for the all of attachments, I discovered NY obits lol.
I'd like your permission to use this photo (and those for any other family members that I find) on my personal web site.
I would of course give you credit for it.
Aubry's page is here:
An example of how it would appear is:
Thanks for your work in taking so many photos!

Ok, I've always been at the cemetery for burials, so I never have taken the time to look around.

Have you ever counted the headstones up there. Find a Grave is listing 400 some graves there. I find that hard to believe because that is such a small cemetery?
Thanks for any info Gail
Are you still contactable via email?
Rebecca Rood married John Hilton and had at least 3 children. Ive been trying to trace their family from Norwich, Chenango.
Johns parents were born in Ireland. They were Mathew Hilton and Mary McGaveston.
Johns sister Mary Hilton is buried in Mt Hope Cemetery.
Is there a local genealogical group thats familiar with the Hilton children William, Mary, Nettie, Nellie?
Regards from Australia

Thank you, I will take good care of Amos Arnold. He is my great great grandfather and I have visited his grave many times.

Someone did enter Bryan and Byron Holmes in Find A Grave. If you read them both, it appears that Bryan was a typo. So it wasn't just you misinterpreting. I have found other mistakes. There is a screen where corrections can be submitted. Good luck with your searches.

Hello! I am about to fulfill your photo request but unfortunately, it is a photo of the area only. She does not have a marker. I put some yellow flowers on the place where her headstone would be, if she had one.
I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome. I am always disappointed when there is no marker, and that is what happened 3 times today.
The Forest Hill Cemetery has a Byron C Holmes listed, but no Bryan. Byron Clark Holmes has a memorial with a photo already on FindaG. The stone is very worn, and the dates may be skewed. The sexton's book lists his death date as Nov 25, 1882. I searched at ancestry.com and many entries for Byron appear in Owatonna, MN, but not a Bryan. I believe the spelling is incorrect, and these are the same person.
Do you have further information?
You also asked for Tessie. There is only a Jessie May listed in the sexton's book with a death date of 18 Aug 1874. As I said, the stone is worn, but the name is readable. There is a photo of her marker also in FindaG, as well as Velma's. They are all on the same marker.
So when you solve this dilemma, let me know if you still want further photos.
