Bio Photo Hello my name is Melissa Clayton Key I am married to Michael Key we live in Henry Co, Tn and have 3 boys Andrew, Alex and Aaron, We also a wonderful granddaughter her name is Serenity Rose

I love doing Family Research I have been doing it for 19 years and have ties all over West TN if you need help let me know.

If you have things to add or correct anything, please let me know and I'll do it asap.

Please contact me if I have memorials that you want transferred I will be glad to do if they are directly related to you (PARENTS, GRANDPARENTS, and BROTHERS and SISTERS)
PLEASE do not ask for me to transfer whole cemeteries to you, I am happy to add information.

When my memorials are entered first please do not ask me to delete them if you have pictures to add, add them to the one that is already there please.

Please don't DOUBLE memorials in Cemeteries it makes it confusing for some people if I entered them in F.A.G. first I will ask Find A Grave to merge the duplicates, so please ask for help. I work real hard on Find A Grave entering names and pictures. If I make the mistake I will gladly delete mine, The most of the people I do enter are related to me or my husband, Thank You for looking and have fun with your research I know I do.

Because so many people add data to Find A Grave, there are often duplicate cemeteries and duplicate memorials added. This is a very common situation and is quite difficult to resolve in a way that keeps everyone happy. Before adding a memorial, you should search the cemetery to see if a record with that name has already been added. If you find a memorial has been added but has incomplete or incorrect information, instead of creating a duplicate memorial you should use the tools provided to submit corrections, additions or a transfer request via the "Suggest A Correction" link under the 'Edit' tab on the upper right of the memorial. You should never deliberately create a duplicate memorial.

Infant Brown
The only infant Brown I have found in Stanfield is a boy who is the son of Marvin and Norma Brown. If this is a relative and you would like the photo please let me know.

RE: Charles E. Hastings
I found it in a Tennessee antique mall. I live in Georgia. I would have to mail it to you. I didn't find any other family members pictures with his.

Charles E. Hastings
I often shop in antique malls and always look at old pictures, particularly ones with names on them. I then try to return them to family members for the price that I paid for it. A few days ago, I found a picture of Charles E. Hastings (Paris, Tenn - Banker). The picture is in really good condition. He has on a striped tie that is knotted and a suit with a vest. He has curly hair. Are you kin to him? I found a memorial page you added. The picture looks to be taken around 1900 and he appears to be in his mid twenties. The picture was a couple of dollars and I wondered if you would like to have the original. It is on heavy cardboard and the picture itself is about 4 x 5 inches. The total picture with margins is about 5 x 6. You can write to me at

Found all kinds of Kendalls and linked them. We've got about half of Dottie's family covered!

Duke edits
Again, thank you for the quick edits on the Duke memorials. Susan sent me an edit on Thomas and that led to all the ones I sent you. One correction usually mushrooms and this case was no different. Thanks for all that you do on these memorials.

Genealogical Society meeting

The spring meeting of the Henry County Genealogical Society will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Lee Academy for the Arts, 402 Lee St. in Paris. The guest speaker will be Dottie Kendall, who lives with her husband Baker on the Kendall Century Farm.
Their home is on the site of earlier Kendall homes. Dottie Kendall will present a program titled “The Kendall Women — Those Who Lived on Our Farm,” having spent years researching the Kendall women. The meeting is open to members and visitors.

Boothe edits
Thanks so much for your quick edits on the convoluted Boothe information that I gave you. That one took more of my day than I had ever planned!

Nancy Carlton Hill
Hi Melissa,

I noticed that you have a lot of Carlton family members' memorials posted. Are you familiar with the family? I believe that Nancy is my husband's grandmother. We are not sure because his grandfather died before he was born and we do not have anyone left to ask on his father's side. I might have an old photo of her and Charles (her husband) but again, we are not 100% positive. Any info you might have would be great to know! Thanks
