I found the stones of the Hershey family that were buried at the Hershey Cemetery. The stones were moved to Mount Zion Cemetery in Quincy, I guess whenever the Hershey cemetery was destroyed. There is a photo request in for Andrew Hershey. I'm guessing that just the stones were moved to Mount Zion and they are still buried in the destroyed Hershey Cemetery. Should I post the photos to the memorials with a note explaining this?
Thanks Mike, for your quick response to the transfer
requests. I'll take good care of them

Suggest name change to Margaret McClean Scott. Headstone says Margaret Scott, nee McClean, so McClean is her maiden name. Also see article on John Reed Scott in Vol.II, Colonial and Revolutionary Families of Pennsylvania.

Is the information on Find A Grave Memorial# 103941269, and other Rose Hill Cemetery memorials you created from cemetery transcriptions or other sources?

I was wondering if you are somehow connected to conrad bonebrake. And if you are would you be interested in a hand written document of conrad and mary thomas. I sorted through my step father's things after his death and found this papter. It looks old, but i don't know the family. If you would know someone that would want it please contact me at email@example.com thanks. if anyone would want it, I would mail it to them.

The locally famous J. M. Holdcraft book on old cemetery's lists the church as "The old abandoned cemetery of the M P Church" and "Meth Prot Cemetery at Detour Md". The books states the names of those buried there. I am sure you are familiar with the book. I have been able to find very little on the church on the internet, except for the listing on this Find A Grave website. It is listed in some of the histories of Detour and Waesche families. I also have a photo of the church given to me by Mrs. Waesche as it appeared in about the 1940s when it was still under roof with few trees in the cemetery. My family has also taken photos of the ruins as they appear today with the north wall fully and the others partially standing.

I have lived near the community of Detour (previosly named "Double Pipe Creek" since 1959. I have spoken to the family that donated the land for the cemetery to the Methodist Protestant congregation through deed dated October 2, 1883 from George Henry Waesche and Catherine Waesche (Land records, Frederick Co, MD 44, Liber J.S., page 164). The cemetery is located about 1/4 mi. South of the intersection of Route 77 (Rocky Ridge Rd as it is called in Frederick County) and Detour Rd). Route 77 becomes Middleburg Rd once the bridge is crossed into Carroll County. The church ruins and cemetery lie in Frederick County, Maryland on Detour Road. The family members in the area, whom have family buried in the cemetery refer to the church qas "Waesche's Chapel". I believe this is the correct name of the church. The church was last used in 1939. We are having a problem with people sealing the building stones from the foundation. I hope people will respect the property and know they belong the the Methodist Church and the people buried there.

The tombstone is incorrect...have no clue why, but his name is Mentor Purdue Moore. His grandson, my uncle, was named after him and his name is Mentor. Some of the census' also have his name as Mantor but that is incorrect. His obit and death certificate have his name spelled Minter. But, I'm convinced his name was spelled Mentor because his daughter named her son after him and his name, as I stated above, was Mentor Purdue Moore.

Thanks, any help or info I can supply let me know, I was not sure if you had the book on all the Harbaughs, one of my Aunts has one of the original books and I found a copy out East, one of the sisters has the family Bible dating back to Captain Yost Harbaugh and his Father and brothers, also some of the Harbaugh girls years ago joined the DAR because when my daughter applied to join they said they had the same info we had to join that had been submitted by other women in the past. Thanks, Bob.
