|Laney Reischman||Cora Mae Saling|
I just came across this info. about Cora Mae Saling that you posted on 'Find a Grave'. Wow. I am the Great Great Granddaughter of Jesse K. Saling, and Cora Mae was my Great Aunt. I am working on the Saling side of my family, my maternal side. We've always known quite a bit about my Grandmother's side of the family but hardly anything about my Grandfather, Forrest Saling's side of the family. In the months I've been working on this Tree, I've traced the Saling side of the family back many generations :) This is important info. I can add to my tree, thank you so much for sharing. I have a beautiful pic of Cora Mae in my family tree. Feel free to visit my tree, it's under The Saling Family Tree, daniece56
If you have any more info. on the Saling family I'd be very interested in hearing about it.
Thank you again for sharing,

Yes I have, Nathan was Sam's brother, but I'm still more inclined to believe that Sam is the father, either way, according to the record he was a bastard. Nathan was married in 1855 and Samuel was married in 1868 so there was some hanky-panky going on, the only question was who.

Actually, I believe he was the natural father just out of wedlock. I believe Elizabeth Jane Villers was the mistress of Samuel Sill until the death of Ida Adeline Tippens at which time she married Samuel Sill. His birthname I believe to be Villers but was changed to Sill after the marriage. I am still researching this and I am looking for an adoption record that probably doesn't exist. At that day and age, I'm pretty sure that he just assumed the last name of Sill, and he shows up in the Census as Oliver Sill. Thanx, Sam Sill

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 48624040
My husband and I had formed the idea that John
Randolph Dorsett's father was John Richardson Dorsett. But we are not positive. We are
VERY VERY interested to know why it is believed that John Randolph Dorsett's father was William

You are very welcome. Let me know if you see that I have created duplicates. They are a challenge when you link the families. Keep up the good work. Hilda
