Bio and Links
Bio Photo "Graving" is a new thing to me...I started all this to be able to leave family geneology information and 'stories' for our 'eventual' grandchildren! Now, I've spent quite a bit of time at it in the past five years...especially at small private family graveyards of my husband's in West Virginia. Working on family geneology evolved as a natural progression, and now I'm a full blown headstone hunter! I once even stopped at a private family graveyard in the front yard of a new home and asked if I could record the headstones and info on them and as a result of that, found family members that no one knew or could remember where they had been buried. It was such a wonderful feeling to be able to supply that information, especially to the older members of the family! I still can't get over the fact that it is the tradition here in the south to have family graveyards in one's front yard! I'm in the process of organizing all that info and will be adding those graveyards to "Findagrave" for anyone who needs it. The saddest, yet most life~impacting thing that has occurred since I joined is I was able to find a brother for a dear friend of mine. She had been looking for him for over 30 years, and unfortunately he passed away in 2004. Although her heart is broken, she at least has the closure now, and no more wondering and searching. I am happy to be able to help people that are unable to come here to find headstones....I feel like it enables me to give back a little!
As far as personally, I'm on the East Coast in Virginia now with my husband. We have two daughters, and two grandchildren, with one more on the way...so the 'geneology' continues!

Victoria Rollins #30036826
Hi, Diane: It has been brought to my attention that I have duplicated your memorials for Victoria Rollins #30036826 and her husband, Oak Rollins #30036715. Could you pls. either transfer them to me so that I can add the links and information that I have on my memorials and then transfer them back to you, or simply delete them. Victoria is in my family. Thanx for the favor.

RE: Brad
*lol* He sounds like he was a good guy, and I can tell he was loved by his friends and family just from your messages.

He may have died young, but it looks like he had a rich life. So wonderful !

My best wishes to you !

RE: Photo/Brad Rassman
It was my pleasure.. I am glad we were able to find it and photograph it for you all.
It was kinda funny.. had a little challenge finding his grave marker.. when I turned, and looked where my 3 year old was standing.. and there was Brad's marker ! Worked out good !

Anyway, very happy to have done that for you'all.

Best Regards,

Chris Robinson

Poplar Grove
We aren't at the cemetery this time of year but I am usually around the battlefield's main visitor center, Sun - Thurs. If you come in tell them you are looking for me, or give me a call. Would love to meet you! Always nice to find kindred spirits when it comes to cemeteries. Am away to CT next week to do some training at one where the graves go back to the late 1680s!

FYI - Sat. Nov. 8th we are doing a luminary at the cemetery; candles on each grave, stories of some of the men we know something about, bagpipes. It is a lovely evening, very moving. Let me know if you want more info!

Hope to meet you soon!

Poplar Grove listing
Thanks Diane for the good catch! Sometimes I get ahead of myself with my listings, which are also way behind. I am home in NJ on leave and when I get back I will fix that double listing. Thanks so much and if you are by the battlefield some time, stop in and say hi!

Thanks, Elizabeth

Peagram Cemetery
Wow! What can I say! You are so awesome to have gone to all of this trouble. If you could just get some pictures of the Peagram Cemetery, I would love it! Are there any houses that may be connected to the cemetery? By any chance did you get the name of the lady (Haddon) that you talked to? I would love to see a picture of the house and any graves that you may find. They all have to be some kind of relation to me. This is so very exciting to me. One more question, Have you ever heard of a place called Weiland? Is there any way that I can repay you for your efforts? Hugs, Barbara
