Bio and Links
Bio Photo I left find a grave because I kept finding my photos on ancestry without a by line. Now I have stumbled across photos from ancestry here without a by line. So I am teaching myself to water mark and will resume posting a few photos here as well as ancestry.

I took these photos while braving cold, fire ants, fleas, heat, mosquitoes, rain, red bugs, roaches, saw briars, snakes, spiders, ticks, etc, etc…. and worst of all mean or unaware people. In addition I have driven to Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. So please do not just crop them and repost them.

If you use my photos from find a grave or ancestry I would appreciate a byline for EXAMPLE (Photo by: Norman Satterwhite) Thank you, Norman Satterwhite

RE: Sardis Cemetery
Yes, I saw it first on the news. No words to describe just how angry all of this makes me.

RE: Sardis Cemetery Vandalism
I sent the link to the first article to the Georgia Cemetery Preservation Society (not certain if that is the correct name.)

I also sent the link to the Georgia Natural Resources office -- cemetery preservation is listed on their website.

I grew up in Chambers County, AL; and, am familiar with parts of Harris County. I didn't realize until I began checking into this vandalism that there is absolutely no major city in Harris County.

Hamilton is the county seat, The other town is Pine Mountain which of course is famous for Callaway Gardens. One of those cities might have a Boy Scout Troop.

The Harris County Sheriff is obviously not interested in the matter; so, I think my next step will be to contact the county commission. The first thing that needs to be done is to install a chain link fence around the cemetery with a gate that is too small for any vehicle to enter.

So glad you are interested in this. I am receiving my information from a Facebook group called I Grew Up in Valley, AL. Posts on the group reach from coast to coast.

Thanks so much!

Sardis Cemetery Harris County, GA
Mr. Sadderwhite, I am trying to reach as many people as possible with the report link below concerning the continuing vandalism of Sardis Cemetery. May I have your permission to include the photo of the cemetery sign that you posted. I would like to show that vandalism has been occurring in the cemetery for a long time. Apparently, law enforcement in the county is not concerned about the damage. I am also concerned about the markers in the cemetery created by stone artist William Rufus Jackson.

Thank you for your consideration of this request.

SB Adair

Location of Wedowee Masonic Cemetery
Hello,
Your name is attached to a few photos taken in Wedowee Masonic Cemetery. I hope to visit this cemetery while driving through AL next month, so was wondering if you could help me with some instructions to this cemetery. I'm not certain google maps has it correct. One of the memorials with your name is #90710840.

I hope this makes sense. Thanks for any assistance!
