I saw your findagrave page for Eliza Lowrie Ritchey and thought you might know about her brother. I think his name was either robert or john.
Also, have you ever seen her mother's last name ?
It looks like her father, john lowrie, died in Mobile, AL but I have no idea why he would have been down there.
Do you know anything about their deaths ?
Thank you for whatever thoughts or information you may be able to share.
Sincerely, Jackie Lowrie

I noticed that many of the photos at this cemetery were yours, that is why you are receiving this message. Please let me know it you are interested.
I have identified and recorded approximate locations of about 250 memorials that could be photographed at the Hoffman Cemetery, Smithton, PA.
I would be glad to meet some one there to give them the records that I have. This was done using about a 1970's reading of the cemetery by row and highlighting the readings lacking a photo.

You're very welcome, Todd. As you might be able to tell from the photos, we were caught up in a bit of rain. The monument is seriously covered in lichen and it is possible, in our haste, that we missed an inscription for their husband, William. We plan to return to Beaver Dams soon and finish the work we started. ~Cheers

I would like to invite you to the Findagrave Community Day at the Homewood Cemetery. There are over 74,000 memorials for Homewood graves, but only 17% of them have photos. Please bring a digital camera or a phone with camera and help us bring this number up.
I see that you have taken and uploaded at least one photo on a memorial for Homewood so I am hoping you will come and do some more. The cemetery is providing us with a meeting room and coffee from 9 to 4:30. Look for the sign behind the main building.
You can learn more about this event and sign up at
Looking forward to meeting you,

Thank you so much for the picture of his grave marker Jean
He is buried there.....if you are checking cemetery records they probably have him listed by burial date of 1947-1950...when he was returned from overseas.

Todd, if you want to transfer to me I would glad to take care of the memorial. Thanks for the reply..
Surprised though, we have allot of Walkers in the Race side of the family. My great grandmother was Elizabeth Walker, 1872-1950, married to Francis Fullard. Both resided in Homestead, Pa (Pittsburgh) and are buried in Homestead Cemetery.
Maybe just a coincidence.. All immigrated from England.
Again, thanx... if you wish to transfer i'll accept it gladly.

Wasn't sure if I shoudl update the information so I thought I would pass it on.
Jennie Bell Gosnell was my 3rd great aunt, she was born March 16th, 1867 in Uniontown, Fayette, Pennsylvania, USA & died on Jan 20 1960 in Scott, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, USA.
I have added links to her parents, William J & Lydia Jan Moxley-Gosnell. I don't know how long Find A Grave will take to update that parental link.
I will be happy to edit the locations, just didn't want to do it without your permission.

How fun to find distant connections. Thank for the transfers!
