Bio Photo (Desperately hoping someone, anyone, will create a new website called FIND AN OBIT. This is not the place for adding someone who passed away yesterday especially when often there's no cemetery or disposition even mentioned. Many times family would like to add their own loved ones & resent having to wait for a transfer, if they even receive one. Hats off to those Find A Gravers who dig out the old obituaries & add them to memorials. That's what makes this site so helpful for genealogy purposes. Adding this week's death total is just morbid & ghoulish, especially when three people add the same person on the same day. Who was first? Numbers shouldn't be the goal here! Just my opinion)

My interests are genealogy & history, especially military history~God Bless our veterans & active duty servicemen & women!

I really enjoy visiting cemeteries searching for ancestors & always try to take some other grave photos while there. It's fascinating to read some of the older inscriptions & see the style & design that went into the older monuments.

Find A Grave is the best site on the web & has helped me a lot. It's enabled me to find family members who moved away years ago & some that I thought I'd never find.

We've all lost loved ones, wonderful people we'll never forget. This site gives us an opportunity to remember them with photographs, obituaries, family stories & monument photos. It's always a great feeling when someone finds a family member that they'd been unable to locate. I'm sure that's what makes this site so very popular!

I'm always happy to transfer family members or make corrections or additions! I'll gladly remove a memorial, also, if requested. Feel free to use any of the memorial photos I've posted for your family tree, Ancestry.com, etc.!

The name JOHN WEBER STEVENSON listed in this cemetery should be listed as JOHN WEEDER STEVENSON (as shown on tombstone).

Understanding it is a difficult picture to see clearly, I believe this person's middle initial is "C," not "G." If you look below at the death month of his wife on the same gravestone as where his name appears, I think you will note, as I did, the similarity of the letter "C" in "MARCH," the death month of his wife, Sallie Moore Gooden with the middle initial in his name above. There does not appear to be a middle cross bar in either letter that would make it a "G." His middle initial in the 1880 U.S. Census found at Familysearch.org is also a "C." It is also spelled with a C." in The Delaware State Directory & Gazetteer, found through Google Books, page 519. The book was published in 1874 in Delaware by Commercial Printing Company, as described in the Google Books website. I know it is spelled with either initial at Ancestry.com, though I only see that in brief with Google searches, as I am not yet a paying member. Ben

Joseph Radcliffe
Hi,
I believe that Joseph Radcliffe was my grandfather. I have an envelope sent to my dads adopted parents from

J. Radcliffe
Henderson, MD

The letter was postmarked dec. 16, 1931

Anything you can tell me about Joseph or his first wife Annie would be very helpful. Also I want to know what his connection in Boston ,MA was.

Thanks,
Tom Hazlett

RE: Blanche Finecey
Hi Dee. Thanks for removing the memorial. I made the same mistake regarding the Sun obit. I called Baltimore cemetery to verify the information, but they had no record of burial. Once I found out where my great grandfather was buried, I found Blanche next to him.

How do I know you? I'm not making the connection with Wendy H.
