Retired Federal Law Enforcement Officer with over 29 years of service. I am also the wife of a retired US Army soldier and the mother of a soldier who was injured in Iraq from an IED but was able to complete his tour of duty! SUPPORT THE TROOPS!!!!
If I have a relative of yours I will be more than happy to transfer to you (no matter the Findagrave 'rules' like some people do) unless 1. I have done extensive research; 2. I find that I have previously transferred someone to you and you have not added any information to the transferred memorial which means you do not care to research; 3. The individual is the relative of a person whose family tree I work on, and I have 3 additional friends' trees; or 4. The individual is related to me. Otherwise, all you need do is ask:)
DUE TO ANCESTRY.COM CHANGING FLOWERS ON MEMORIALS WITHOUT SUGGESTION OR WARNING-NO INFORMATION, I REPEAT NO INFORMATION, OR PICTURES I HAVE ADDED TO ANY MEMORIAL CAN BE USED WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Findagrave's OWN rules state this is copyrighted to the person who has added it.
For those making suggestions, please research and provide the researched information for me to update. Additionally; 1: If someone has a duplicate memorial, courtesy is to ask that individual to delete it FIRST before asking Findagrave to get involved, and 2. When you receive an edit request please DO NOT update the information you received and then decline the edit you received - that is just NOT cool!
HEADSTONE PHOTO VOLUNTEERS-If you volunteer and post headstone photos, please take a photo of the COMPLETE marker. I find more and more some individuals crop the bottom of the markers off - especially on military grave sites, which does an injustice to our veterans and the photos were supposedly taken by ex-military individual(s). You took the time to take the photo, then PLEASE take the time to crop correctly.
Since my bio was somehow screwed up (and NOT by me), I can't remember all that I had added and I will leave it as is. I hope the mess up was not the work of a contributor who has access to our profiles. I work hard on Findagrave and have sponsored quite a few memorials. Please be a contributor and not just a person who adds names. It's great to see people who provide research.

Thank you so much for taking the time to go to the Ft. Bliss cemetery to photography Silas and Martha Merritt's headstones! They are my great-grandparents. It's fun to know that there are other family-history junkies out there who are gracious enough to help us on our quests! Out of curiosity, was Martha's headstone separate, or is her name engraved on the back of Silas's headstone?

Thanks very much for obtaining the picture of James Monroe Titsworth's tombstone. This means a lot to me.

Thanks a bunch for going out there to take a picture of my Uncle Bill's temporary marker nonetheless! I had thought, after I submitted the request, that it may be a bit too soon to see the actual marker. Thanks for your trouble!

I love the sweet message you left for my beloved Aunt (Milly St Jean) It meant so much to me. Susan♥

I will check. May be Wednesday before I get to it. James has a civilian marker so I doubt anything is on the back. There's quite a few "Mamies" in that section. Must have been a popular name at the time. I've seen quite a few "Hutchinsons as well. When I need a break from Veteran searching, I start registering gravesites. Right now I've almost completed the Black Masonic Section.

Thank you so much for volunteering to take the photo of Harry's headstone and the one of Ronald as well. I was briefly at Fort Bliss (a few days) before my deployment in 2010, but had no idea Harry was buried there. My family has seen much military service as well. I am an Army brat of sorts, my Dad retired Army. I served in the Navy Reserves, husband and sons in the Marines. One son is still serving. Thank you for your service as well in law enforcement.
