Bio

I hope to add many of my ancestors' graves to this site. Most from the state of South Carolina. If you have bio info on any of the photos I have posted, I will be glad to add it or transfer if you like.
Sorry, I don't do chalk or shaving cream on markers. I try my best to get pretty good photographs with help of a mirror or manipulating photo after I take it. I sometimes use the water in spray bottle method. I figure there isn't usually enough water in a cemetery to clean off the stone if you do put something on it and you can't depend on Mother Nature to do it for you.

I try to do as many volunteer photos as I can in my area when requested. If the photo I take is not sufficient (you want chalk ...) please feel free to request again for someone else to take it. I really don't mind.

I also do not enter information directly from my collection of cemetery books (most are copyrighted). Too many mistakes in the books. If I actually see the grave I am less likely to put the information in the wrong cemetery and also have a picture of the grave to confirm information. If you do, please consider sending a donation to the group that provided the information. At lot of hard work goes into documenting the cemeteries.

Please send all corrections and additions thru EDIT from the Memorial page.

I also help with the Aiken Barnwell Genealogical Society. Find us on FACEBOOK.
