Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have always liked to walk cemeteries and wondered about the residents. This is a great way for me to get some exercise and discover a little bit about the people in them. Also I do alot of family research and find that FAG is a great resource.
I am hoping that the pictures I take and add to the FAG files will help others discover their ancestors/relatives.
If you want me to add any information please let me know or if you wish to have the memorial transferred to you also let me know. I would be more than happy to do that.
As for the pictures...you are more than welcome to use them if I am given credit if you make copies. If there are some pictures not of good quality please let me know if you would like another one. I will see what I can do.
I am doing this as a hobby for me and to help others.

Erwin de Mooij
Earl Markwalder
Dear Ginny Lee,

my name is Erwin de Mooij and I am the content webmaster for the 457th Bomb Group Association website.

At this moment I am working on a virtual cemetery/memorial on the website honering all 339 KIA/MIA/KIS of the group.

I saw your picture of Earl Markwalder's grave marker and I was wondering if I could use it for the memorial. If you made any other photos of 457th BG members would I be able to use these too?

We would greatly appreciate it.

Best regards,

Erwin de Mooij

Many thanks for checking the cemetery records for Robert Gilmore. I'm almost certain he's buried there, but it looks like the sexton's plat book won't be much help in proving it. The mystery endures!

I would be indebted to you if you could find Robert Gilmore's grave. I spoke with family elders who were alive in 1918 when Robert died, and they are insistent that he is buried with or near his wife, Hannah. This has been an enduring mystery in my family for a long time, and I'd like to finally resolve it. Why Robert's name isn't inscribed on the elaborate marble monument is yet another mystery. His children were well-fixed, so to speak, so their failure to place his name on the monument wasn't based on a lack of financial resources. Many thanks for whatever help you can give in getting to the bottom of this.

Many thanks for posting the beautiful monument photo last year. I've been trying to get a picture for quite a long time, so was pleasantly surprised to see it on the Find A Grave memorial during a random check. By chance, is the name of her husband, Robert Hamilton Gilmore, also inscribed on the monument? He's buried with (or near) her, but I've encountered difficulty getting precise lot/plot info. Can you help? If so, I'd be indebted.

Ginny Lee, You are so very welcome. I was a distant cousin to Nora Ingalsbe McKinley. My Grandmother had that newspaper clipping. I also have one of him by himself and his obit if you're interested I will send it to you in an email.

RE: A. J and Nancy McKinley
Are we talking Wintersteen Cemetery? They are no cemetery records for those do not have a marker.
