My name is GenealogyBuff and I am a marine historian and genealogist living in Truro, Nova Scotia.

I have spent many years trying to uncover the names and faces of those lost in major disasters. As i have lost a family in the sinking of the Titanic, i feel compelled to ensure all victims have a name.I also spent a lot of time transcribing local cemeteries for genealogical purposes.
I focus my studies on shipping disasters, and if anyone is interested in discussing shipping disasters (to whom you will find on my page) i would be delighted.

Regarding memorials i have created: If a memorial has been created for one of your family members, ask and i will transfer it over to you.

RE: Pringle Family Relations
My Great/Great Grandparents (on my mother's side, through my grandmother) were James Riley Pringle/Eliz. Sedore, my Great Grandparents were Ada Beatrice Pringle/Reginald Asselstine, my grandmother was Marie Francis Asselstine/Mrs Wilbert South, my mother was Beatrice South/Mrs Arthur Donaldson. So yeah, I am a Pringle. I am doing a complete Pringle family work up, like I did for my Donaldson family. How are you related to the Pringles. Do you know any old Pringles who can help with family history?

RE: Mary Polly Richards
Hi,

I think you may be interested in an Find A Grave memorial I photographed a while back.

It is a memorial for a husband and wife lost when the SS Vestris sunk in the Atlantic in 1928. The memorial has the newspaper article on it also. Find A Grave # is 74600848.

I hope you do not mind if I possibly use your photo (with proper credit) for a WWII project I am working on, if not OK please let me know. Thanks again, it is volunteers such as yourself that make this such a great site, Cheers!!

Hello, just wondering what made you do a memorial to Josh? As I do not see any other memorials for his family on this site( well that you have added at lease :) )
I have never seen his headstone, however his cousin ( my husband points it out to me everytime we drive by the grave yard) And at night either I see his christmas tree or another light close to his stone.

RE: Thomas Cripps
He is buried with his wife. A copy of their wills proves the connection to our Mary Cripps. his info has been researched by many related cousins, including 2 professional genealogists, as well as the cousin who published the Cooper Family History, and he worked with the Fawkham historian, who wrote a forward to the Cooper Family History. It was researched by cousins who all went to Fawkham and did their research in the parish records with the help of locals, including the Kent Historical Society.
