Thank you for the information on Frances Ellen Poston Wilson :)
Rogersville, Missouri? (southeast of Springfield) or perhaps Arkansas?
Maybe your Hood kin lived same area of Lawrence as my family? My dad, Paul DePreste's side were mostly around Miller, Albatross, Phelps & Heatonville; my mom, Evelina Hook's maternal family were Corry (under Stockton Lake now), South Greenfield & Everton area. Her dad's family from Kansas.
We moved to Texas in the mid 1950's, then on to Livermore & Pleasanton, California. My older brothers and I stayed in California when our folks and younger three sibs moved back to Miller in 1969.
Nice connecting to you. I may live in California, but my heart will always be in Lawrence and Dade Counties. My earliest memory is of living on the farm just southwest of Miller.

Thank you for the head's up on her death certificate (seems the coverage years have been expanded). I've updated her memorial.
I have to assume you are closely related to the Hood family of Lawrence and nearby counties. I'm not directly related but they are connected to several of my lines through marriage, etc. My dad's closest friend as a young man was Burnice Hood; they are both gone now of course. I'm from the area (born in Springfield), and my folks are related to many family lines in Dade and Lawrence Counties. Most of my immediate family are still in the area.
Again, thank you, it's appreciated.
