Bio and Links
Bio Photo I think I have been a member for a few years. I think it is a good idea to have this site. I am doing my ancestry and it has helped a lot with some questions I had. I also found out a few people passed on that I did not know about.

RE: Charles T. Laster
You need to know what Seabee unit your father was in. Once you know that, you can enter the unit name into Google Search and maybe that way you'll find some information.

RE: are you in the fam?
If you are talking about Ida (McAlly)O'Neal who is buried in Godley Cemetery, No. I just took the photo. Would you like me to turn management of it over to you?

I have my dad's Seabee Cruise Book, and your father's name is not in the 58th Naval Construction Battalion. If he was in the Seabees, you're going to need the name of his unit, and most Seabee units have web pages you can search.

RE: Alta bell Jameson
Alta was the first wife of Austin Jameson. She is buried in the Tamaha or the San Bois Cemetery in Haskell Co., OK. Been there, but can't remember which....

RE: Alta bell Jameson
YES Austin IS kinfolk.. Alta was his first wife, buried at Tamaha Cemetery, Haskell County Oklahoma. She has a cement headstone that Austin carved when she died... Give me some time and I will go back on my information and try to find out about a baby girl...I think its true, but let me look back in some of Austins letters....

RE: seabees
I have a memorial for my dad, if you are interested. And, "yes" I have always been very proud of my dad. When I was in the 5th grade, he was in the Navy Reserves, and served time in the service during the Korean War, although not in the war zone. He was stationed in Japan as a replacement for Seabees who were the next generation of warriors. I'm so glad I met you...We're proud daughters of Seabees!

Fred A. Adler - Memorial #89405011

On my mother's memorial is a photo of my mother with my sister and I - I'm the one on the left - I'm 73 years old now.
