RE: Lucretia Daskam
Mrs. Samuel Daskam, well known in this city, died at her home in South Norwalk this morning at the advanced age of 92 years. She was the widow of Captain Samuel Daskam. At the time of her death, she was the oldest person in Norwalk and one of the oldest in the state. She was a woman of remarkable ability and energy, retaining until a few weeks ago the full use of her mental and physical faculties. Her life has been an active one and calculated to break down one not possessing her from constitution, cheerfulness of disposition and Christian resignation. Her time was employed in lightening the burden of others; and in sacrificing personal desires grew healthier and better as she grew older in the warm sunlight of a generous heart. Her death was due to a stopping of the human machinery. She had lived a life of usefulness and happiness and her time had come. She was the grandmother of George T. Bradley and Mrs. Minott E. Osborn, both of this city.

Rocco Pesacreta
Zed says his MIA memorial plaque is wrong. His ship was not DD 761! It was DD 420!

Thank you for the info; I've added it to his memorial and also linked his parents. What a shame to die so young.
