My name is David Alan Jones, I was born on February 25, 1956 at Mills Memorial Hospital in San Mateo, CA. I am a student of history, including that of my own family and direct decendants; "Without he or she, there would be no me". Cemeteries are excellent resources for genealogy research and also places of quiet reflection for the living.|
I have written a book, "US Silent Service Dolphins & Combat Insignia, 1924-1945". I enjoy research into the military history of the United States. I am currently writing a book on my Ellis lineage in a book titled "The Ellis Family".
My son and I are members of the "Son's of the American Revolution" and my daughter is a member of the "Daughter's of the American Revolution". I am also a member of The War of 1812 Society. I serve as a captain on the Klamath River Fire Department. Thanks for looking at my bio.

|Sharon Smith||Nelson Clayton Hamlin Jr.|
Thank you for your work. The pieces are slowly coming together for my Hamlin family research. It started with a Ridley family story. Then I discovered we were Fletcher's not Ridley's. Nelson's wife Roxa Elma's father died in the civil war. Her mother Eliza Ann married Abner Fletcher & set off for CA with his seven sons & Elma. Abner drowned crossing the Missouri River less than 3 month after their marriage. Eliza married Algernon Ridley in Estherville, Iowa. Six of Abner's sons returned to Maine & were raised by family members. My GG Janus & Elma became Ridley's. TADA!!! We became Ridley's. Algernon died two years into the marriage. Eliza, Janus & Elma came to Oregon & then CA. Eliza married John Borer here in Santa Rosa. Nelson sister Adelia was married to Eliza's brother & all lived in Santa Rosa. Elma & Gaylord are buried in the same grave in the Ridley Plot at the Rural Cemetery. Thanks again for your work.

Thanks Dave. I know from personally going to Quaker Meeting Houses in Pennsylvania that the records aren't always provided. The gravestones themselves haven't been maintained to be able to corroborate the info.

Hi Dave! I am researching our Johnson/Moorman/Clark family and noticed that there are 2 entries for the same Thomas Moorman. Memorial #88458906 (Buz Johnson-a cousin) and #41181162 (your entry). Do you have any documentation for this? Maybe the Quaker Meeting notes for your entry? I've written to Buz as well. Thanks for your help!
Am interested in how you might be related to Essie Mae Botkin...She is my Grandmother...I have the original of that here in Texas...
