I am a third generation funeral director in Greensburg, Indiana. I have done research on my family tree. I have placed all individuals in our funeral records dating back to 1886 on the find-a-grave website.|
I would like to thank Russell Wilhoit for all his efforts in recording the burials at South Park Cemetery up until 1924 on spreadsheet. I would also like to thank Greg Meyer for all his work in documenting burials in several cemeteries in Decatur County. I have used their information for many of the memorials in which I have placed on Find-a-grave.

Hello, I've made a mistake in posting this memorial for Elizabeth Parrott Littrell when you already had one. Sorry. Could you please link her with her husband and children and then delete this one?
I will transfer to you. Will be more careful.
It seems that the Freeman stones are all in a row at South Park Cem. They seemed to photograph clearly & I see that George was born over a year after his mother Jane (#50997282) died. Would you have a clue to this puzzle? James was married to an Ellen, but the stone says mom is Jane.

It is a small world. My husband's ggg grandparents are buried at Star Baptist. I haven't worked on his family for at least 25-30 years and can't remember the names, but I think the wife was a Buchanan - probably Nancy - and I can't remember the husband. I will have to dig through papers someday and find all that. It is a lot easier with my Lefflers as they are all in my computer. Didn't have a computer when I was doing some research on the Short family. If you keep track of family, you will find my husband's memorial on Findagrave - #74848689 -

I think I wrote you a couple of times regarding my Leffler family in Decatur County, IN, but just now I was checking the Shorts buried in Mound Cemetery in Jasper County, IL and was surprised to see that you posted those memorials on findagrave.com. Are you related? My husband is a descendant of the Shorts where I found your name. I am getting ready to make the links, so you might check them or contact me if you want more information. Many years ago when searching in Decatur County for my Lefflers, I found that my husband's family came from the same area - as did several other families in Jasper County. It is a small world.
|Susan Gibson||Frederick Wagner Jr.|
According to the Greensberg newspaper article, and the 1880 census, I believe the 3 people listed as Frederick & Catherine Mehn Wagner's children are his sisters. Since his Father and mother are also named Frederick and Catherine, I can see how this could happen.
