Bio and Links
Bio Photo One of the best features of Find A Grave is that it provides a forum where years of genealogical research can be shared with others. Please let me know if you have additional biographical or statistical information for any of my memorials, as it is always welcome. The wealth of knowledge that others have sent to me through Find A Grave is astounding.

If you are aware of links for parents and/or spouses that I have not yet added, I would appreciate it if you would use the edit tab to leave the name and memorial number of the person or people who should be linked.

Thanks to all those who have generously shared your family stories and beautiful photos with me. I sincerely appreciate being allowed to add them to the memorials for your loved ones. The pictures and studio portraits that for years have been carefully preserved in family photo albums, add such a wonderful dimension to Find A Grave. They help create a memorial tribute that is all the more special and meaningful.

Before asking for a memorial transfer, please determine whether or not this is really necessary. Transfers of management should only be requested if you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections even if you are not the memorial manager. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a transfer request. It would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire family trees.

Transfers will only be considered if they comply strictly with Find A Grave guidelines. You must state your exact relationship to the deceased. People who request transfers and then fail to improve and maintain the memorial are certainly not honoring the memory of their family member.

Bulk surname transfers will not be considered under any circumstances.

Unless otherwise noted, all bios on my memorials were researched and written by me. Post-1922 verbatim obituaries have not been included in order to avoid copyright violations.

I have put a lot of time and effort into my memorials on Find A Grave. I strive to make sure that the information on them is as accurate as possible, but I am realistic and know that mistakes do happen. Please use the edit tab to leave a message regarding any errors or omissions that need to be corrected.

By working together, we can continue to build Find A Grave into a better and better site!

Note: 30 Sep 2013 marked a very sad day for all Find A Grave contributors when the founder of this website sold us out to ancestry.com.

I will continue to add to and maintain my memorials as long as Find A Grave remains a completely free website, open to all without charge.

I am interested in finding out more about this family. I am researching a Knipping family from Centralia, Madison, Ill.
The first names of the sons are the same which leads me to believe they are from the same German ancestor. Cousins, brothers. If this is not your family, do you know any family members? Not my family either, just researching for my Knipping friend. Thanks! Joyce

RE: Memorial Page #174697092
Lynn: I remember Father Time well from seeing him in all the right places---especially at the ballpark. I left an offering on his page. You did a great job on his page! If they would allow you to list him as famous, I for one would definitely go back and vote on your page for him. He is famous!

Memorial Page #174697092
Hi Lynn: Happy 2017. If you feel so inclined, check out this memorial page and cast a vote. My guess is you will recognize the man. If no vote, it is still a good read. Hugs Barbara

RE: John Russell Harr
Greetings Lynn,
I know the holiday season is still upon us and it is a hectic time, for sure. I forgot to tell you in my prior message that I have extensive information into the Tucker and Hagan family lines that are part of the Harr family. I'd be glad to send that to you, if you wish. Our correspondence may be more efficient if you reply to my home email address, which is rdjacobs@cox.net.
Best wishes to you and your family for the New Year.
Warmest Regards,
Richard Jacobs, M.D.

RE: John Russell Harr
Greetings Lynn,
Holiday greetings to you and your family from me and mine here in Arizona. It sounds like you have a lot of good information on the Harr family, so I'm excited to here the story from you when the "whirlwind season" is over. I've been able to complete quite a bit a research into the Tucker family, from whom Mary Magdalen Harr's mother comes. This is a fascinating family that has roots in early colonial America, moved to the American frontier in Kentucky in the 1790s, and finally settled in Ste. Genevieve and Perry, Missouri area as early as 1803. The amazing thing about this is that the United States did not acquire the Louisiana Purchase from France until 1803 and Lewis and Clark did not set out to explore this territory until May 1804.

The other family that has me really stumped is the Perry family. Mary Magdalene Harr married William Nelson Perry, but I can't find anything before William's father. This appears to be a poor family of little means or education.

I can email you all my research if you are interested. In the mean time, Warmest Regards, Rich Jacobs, M.D. (Dec 23, 2016)

John Russell Harr
Greetings Lynn,
I am a descendant of John Russell Harr and Mary Victoria Tucker through my mom's mother's mother. Until I found your posting about him and his family, I really knew very little about him. Thank you for your work! Can you please tell me the documentation that links Mary Victoria Tucker to John Raymond Tucker and Mary Ellen Grass? Using the leads provided by your post, I got very different information and am now confused (as usual!). For example, I found their marriage in Perry, Missouri on October 6, 1858, not in January 1855. There is a St. Louis marriage license granted to a John R. Tucker and Miss Mary Ellen on January 15, 1855. The 1858 Perry, MO seems more likely, if this Tucker is Mary Victoria's father. This seems likely because Mary Victoria Tucker is listed among their offspring. Also, thank you for the wonder details you provided about John Russell Harr's life. Can you please tell me your resource for this? I wonder why Mary Victoria went to East St. Louis without John?
Thanks again,
Richard Jacobs, M.D.
