Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started out taking photos of the graves of family and distant relatives but have migrated into working on some cemeteries in northeastern Ohio. I like to manage the memorials of my relatives but more than two thirds of my work is outside that group. Please let me know if you have an interest in managing any memorial I have posted. I would be glad to add information if you care to share.

If you have taken a photo that is better than the one I have posted, feel free to post yours and drop me a message so I can remove mine.

RE: Correction on prior note - Sarah Belle McConaughy
Hi Craig,
Thanks for the response. My original post incorrectly identified the wrong parents. I tried to correct it with a second note.

Sarah Belle's (1846-1932)parents were Matthew and Isabella (Martin) McConaughy.

Jane's (1824-1899) parents were Robert and Rebecca (Nesbit) McConaughy.

Robert and Matthew were brothers.

Im working off of The Thomson Family Tree that Jane's brother, The Rev. Nathaniel McConaughy, produced in 1890. All handwritten with probably 1500 names, dates and other info. It is hard to follow the branches!

Thanks again,
Betty

Correction on prior note - Sarah Belle McConaughy
She is the daughter of Matthew McConaughy and wife Isabella Martin, the first cousin of the Rev N. McConaughy and Jane McConaughy (children of Robert McConaughy and Rebecca Nesbit). Both Jane and Sarah Belle were single. They were cousins, not sisters.

Sarah Belle McConaughy Find A Grave Memorial# 79678980
Sarah Belle McConaughy, Find A Grave Memorial# 79678980, 1846-1932, buried in Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery with Jane McConaughy, is not the daughter of the Rev N. McConaughy and sister to Jane. Sarah Belle is the Rev McConaughy's niece and cousin to Jane. Sarah Belle was the daugher of Rev McConaughy's brother Matthew and his wife Isabella (Martin). Both Jane and Sarah Belle were single.

Mark Stickle
Slaughter family (Ohio/Iowa)
Just a note to thank you for your well-documented and thorough work. My 3rd great grandfather, Thompson Stickle (b. 1818) was raised by a man named Adin Sluaghter after his own parents died (or abandoned him) at a "young age." Indeed, Thompson memorialized his connection to the Slaughter family by naming his own 1st born child Adin Slaughter Stickle. Thompson was reared in east central Ohio (likely Guernsey, Coshocton, or Muskingum counties). Apparently many (but not all) of the Slaughters who lived in central Ohio migrated further west to Iowa in the pre-Civil War years.

I've recently had a Y-DNA test, and the results make more more interested than ever in unraveling the Stickle-Slaughter connection. Your work has been very helpful!! Many thanks.
Mark Stickle

PS. And if you have any suggestions or ideas they'd be very welcome. My email is stickle.11@osu.edu

It rained today. I'll take a couple more pics tomorrow and upload that don't have grass clippings on them.
You're welcome.

Hi Craig,

Thank you very much for getting the photo for Louis Burlin. It is nice to have a completed memorial for each family member of this branch. Thanks again
