THE STORY TELLERS by unknown|
We are the chosen. My feelings are,in each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve.
To me, doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but, instead, breathing life into all
those who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe. All tribes have one.
We have been called, as it were, by our genes.
Those who have gone before cry out to us: Tell our story.
McKinley side...and beyon...

Thanks so much for adding the info on Astyanax.Duncan. He was my gg grandfather. His father wasPleasant Wales Duncan who married Elizabeth Mills. Her name was not Champness. That is the first name of her.first husband, Champness Keesee. If you have any info.on Frank Duncan, son of John Wesley and Almeadia Newman Duncan, I would greatly appreciate it. All i have is info from.WW I draft registration form. Thanks in advance!

I noticed that last year you posted a note about this person indicating burial place unknown. I recently found markers for her and her spouse- William Watkins. Both are in Old Albemarle Cemetery. Photos are posted.
My Apologies. I am not on my computer and it seems this keyboard cannot keep up with me. I will repeat my message below hoping to find and correct all errors:
I though of another way of getting html code to you without you or I revealing our email address.
I could post the HTML coding on your profile page, sort of like I did earlier, then have you "View Page Source" by right clicking on the message and selecting: "View Page Source".
Then on the page that opens, hit CTRL A to "Select all" (I you are on a Mac, select COMMAND A instead). Then hit CTRL C to Copy [if on an iMac hit COMMAND C]. Then, open a Text app (like Notepad). The paste the data into the text file [ to past, hit control V on a PC] [hit Command V on an iMac].
Yes, I speak both PC and Mac (grin)>
If you are interested, to to one of my memorial and let me know".
Hopefully this revision will make my message clearer and less complicated seeming.
Thanks for the info you sent on this family. Are you a descendant?
Sorry, you will have to write me privately. I tried to leave you instructions here, but this site converts raw HTML code, so it cannot be used for instructions in raw HTML coding.

His memorial has been updated, however, I couldn't make the link to his daughter. Those links only go in one direction - child to parent. Please contact the manager of her memorial to link her to her father. Thanx!

I would be glad for you to use any of the Huntsman data. I would like to know how you are connected to the family. Perhaps you could email me.
