My name is|
I am into History.
I am a Civil War reenactor with the unit
8th Regimental Illinois Volunteer Cavalry
I have been looking locally for the real members of this unit and have been placing them on F.A.G.
We should never forget those
that came before us.
Find a Grave is a great way to honor them.
Also my friend Nancy Potter was putting her friends and family in with me. May she Rest In Peace.
And to those that have Sponsored my Interments. I, Thank you

I wanted to let you know that on Sunday June 29th, St John UCC will be hosting Pioneer Day on church grounds from 9:30 to 4:00 including cemetery walks. I'm trying to get as many people with ties to the cemetery to attend. Were are digging deeper into the history of all the graves and need help from those tied to it. I can send you a pdf of the event info if you'd like.
I am specifically interested in the Menschings of Palatine, Ernst, my great grandfather bought his farm

Your uncle was a hero to many. I knew him when he was retired and suffering from effects of years of mistreatment as WWII POW.
He almost died but recovered. Spoke at church of having to wait on heaven a little longer using Philippians 1:23-24 as his text. I'll never forget. His faith lives on as example to me.
