Jones Family
Roger,

I still had in my "To-Do List" a note I had sent to you a while ago. I opened it.

I looked at my cousins Grandfather Columbus Pickney Jones 30168665 memorial you had put a link to my cousin John Curtis "Johnny" Jones 106481734.

I was so surprized!! This was VERY unexpected.

Thanks so much,

Kim Jaynes

CLARA JANE MORRISTON COTTER
JUST LETTING YOU KNOW THAT CLARA DIED IN PLACER CO., CA. SHE DIED UNDER THE LAST NAME OF MORRISON.
THE LAST WE SAW HER SHE WAS GOING BY THE LAST NAME OF MUNSTER. I WISH I KNEW MORE ABOUT HER.
ALSO I CAN'T FIND HER SISTER LUCILLE. SHE WAS GOING BY THE LAST NAME OF WHITAKER.
IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HER PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
THE LAST I SAW EITHER OF THEM WAS IN THE EARLY 1950'S.

Find A Grave Memorial# 67888207 - HG Wright. Are you related? I am a Wright family researcher, and think - by the birth year, may be Dr. Hugh Green Wright, physician. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

RE: Oakdale Cemetery
Hi Royce,
I am embarassed to say I can't remember what I told you in my message. I did not save a copy which I should have since I was making a lot of additions and corrections to graves, but will make a stab. I probably found the Jones connection to Maggie Fishburn in her obituary. There is also an obituary for Nancy Jane Simmons Jones . John S and Nancy Jane Simmons also have their death certificates online on Ancestry.com which is where I saw the parents of John S Jones. The Macon Roots Book put out a few years ago based on ethe 1850 census for Macon Co., Also shows this John S Jones as the one who married Nancy Jane Simmons . The death dates on the death certificate are exactly the same as the burial in the Oak Dale Cemetery for both of them so I am sure they are the correct ones. Your Sanders is tricky. Found quite a bit of info on George's wife, Melissa Cliburn Sanders. Have you tried looking for some of George's descendents, since he had several children, he probably would still have some connections in the area? I did not find his obit. Betty Scott Meadows published 4 vol of obits and news tidbits taken from the Macon Times .
These were published by Ridge Runner Publications. This is where I found the obits.George may have been an orphan given the date of his birth during the civil war. I would persue James Sanders since he named his first child James or look for descendents as I mentioned earlier. Let me know if this helps or if you need more info., let me know. cr.sims@mindspring.com
