Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello: My name is Bill Kazupski and I am a resident of the City of Chicago. I live on the far south side of Chicago, blocks from a few of the south and southwest Chicago suburbs.

I come from a family of Chicago police officers. My father spent over 30 years with the force and both my brothers and I am currently a Chicago police homicide detective and have been with the Chicago police department for over 25 years. My mother is a nurse and my one sister works for Loyola Hospital.

I enjoy being a volunteer with Find-A-Grave because it allows me to get my walking exercise in while helping others. Kind of killing two birds with one stone as they say.

The following cemeteries are within walking distance from my residence:

St. Mary's
Mount Greenwood
Mount Olivet
Mount Hope
Hazelgreen
Restvale
Saint Casimir
Chapel Hill Gardens (South)
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
Evergreen Cemetery
First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery

Burr Oaks - Due to this cemetery digging up burial plots and dumping the coffins and bodies, this cemetery is the focus of national media and news outlets. It is a historical black cemetery operated by African Americans. It is currently shut down to the public as the criminal investigation is in progress. (Update: This cemetery has re-opened under new management)

Feel free to e-mail with any requests for these cemeteries.

Good Luck To All!

RE: Charles E Ramsden
Not sure who this person is. If you took a photo make a memorial and I will do the research. Jim

Hi Bill,
Still thanks for your very clear photo of John Vinke's "stoneless" cemetery spot!

Greetings, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Netherlands (without any snow or serious freezing (yet?), like the whole previous winter 2013/2014. Peter

P.S. 3 years ago I visited Chicago one day. A surprisingly very beautyful and clean city!! I had, probably like all Dutch, a very bad idea of Chicago, also due of course to the movies about its 1930ies, Al Capone, etc. In fact the city looks much more nicer and cleaner than New York, where I spend one week.

In the last few months you graciously photographed and uploaded quite a few of my photo requests: Mauran, Motier, Mostrom, various Moster's, Motisi, Mossuto.

Thank you for your time and efforts! Happy Holidays and a healthy 2015.

William, I saw the reference for my great grandfather on your site. I noted the information was provided by the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation and was updated by you on Oct. 7, 2014. I am the one that contacted the Foundation with the correction of the spelling of George's last name.
Additionally, I have a copy of his marriage certificate from New York and it indicates he was born in BROOKLYN. Your site reflects Manhattan. If possible, would you please update that on your site. You have a great site by the way. Thanks much.

Changed date of death and added a note about the discrepancy. Thanks for adding the pictures. I tried to find an obit or Cook County death record and was unsuccessful.
