RE: Elizabeth J. Cook Sapp
Maybe I didn't understand who you were asking about?
Clarinda Gemes Sapp the mother,
OR Clarinda Sapp Nichols the daughter

You can take a look at her sons death certificate, also the first couple children were born in Boone county, before the move to Benton Co MO, It is pretty much proven in the records. I try never to post BS, I always do the research before I post info, because there is so much junk out there that is incorrect.
Clarinda married William (B or Tyre) Nichols her son John was born 1855 in Boone Co MO, There is quite a bit of info out there on this line, you just have to dig :-)

RE: Shaeffer cememtery
P.S. the knowledge that Clarinda has a stone is awesome! tells me I was right on putting Samuel there as well. He may have a marker that is laying flat with some dirt over it? I hope to get down there to explore some of the small family cemeteries this summer(I live in KC MO)

RE: Shaeffer cememtery
Great info, and I would be happy to get more. Mr Harms is the person who told me the difference between the Shaeffer & Wickliffe Cemeteries and how close they were. He did a pretty complete listing for the Wickliffe Cemetery, many field stones in both, so we may never know who is buried where...so the info you get from Sherman Shaeffer's grand daughter will be a huge help!!! These small old family cemeteries had no sexton, so any records from oral or written family history is a big help! Thanks for keeping me in the loop. :-)

I use ancestry.com for the records, immigration, census etc, BUIT I do not use it for the family trees, seems people just post anything, all willy nilly, with no base in fact...I also use google, many people post some good info on there. just get an empty google search bar and put in:
samuel sapp & clarinda gemes
click enter, and see what comes up.

RE: Schaeffer Cemetery
I know and understand your pain :-0
He has actually been there and the cemeteries are very close to one another
(like across the road)
they are both very small very old family grave yards
It is very frustrating with these small OLD cemeteries
I have not been down for a year or so, and I hope to in the spring for a weekend, just to cemetery hop...I think the library in Warsaw has to have old sexton books for some of these small grave yards?
I am sorry I can not be more helpful!

Information about John & Nancy Collins & daughter Sarah
Kathy,

Thank you for posting burial information about John Collins. I have found some information on him through various genealogical websites, but am hoping to find more information about his daughter Sarah who married Aaron McKinley in 1850. Also, I am trying to find where he came from in Virginia. My half brother is also one of John's descendants, so I am hoping to find more information about John & Nancy as well as Sarah and Aaron McKinley. (Sarah McKinley and her son Leander McKinley were living with John Collins in 1860, so I think Aaron must have died; Sarah and Leander go back to the name Collins in 1870, but Sarah is no longer listed after that in the census records.) I also sent an email to you with this same message. Thank you for any information you can provide.
