"What is it about that place that brings tears to your eyes? I tell you, walking through a cemetery and seeing the same names there that I know...oh, it was so poignant." --- Mavis Fruge
I've been researching my children's ancestors since 1995 when my father gave me a condensed version of his grandfather's diary. (I now have in my possession the full diary which I am slowly but surely transcribing.) I am also fortunate to have photos, documents, and the old family Bible complete with many old family records from my mother's ancestors and I have been deemed the Family Historian by my husband's family and have many photos and documents given to me by his sister for safe keeping.
It is my goal to preserve these photos, records, facts and stories by way of Internet storage where they will remain long after I am gone and to make these things available for the use of future researchers. In this way I hope to honor my ancestors and create interest for my immediate family members who have entrusted me to be the keeper of our past.
Names I am researching include: Allison, Anderson, Bauman, Bishop, Blevins, Bloomer, Boutcher, Brashears, Cook, Cox, Cundiff, Darling, Davis, Delaney, Dungan, Evans, Fletcher, Gollaher, Grabeel, Grunden, Hartzell, Huckstepp, Jackson, Ketcham, Larimer, Leonard, Logsdon, Lord, Martin, Mattingly, McIlvoy, Melvin, Metcalf, Miller, Newby, Osborn(e), Owen, Patterson, Rice, Rogers, Root, Rosenbaum, Runyan, Schiedenhelm, Schmetzer, Smith, Sutton, Townsend, Trowbridge, Tyree, Vaughn, Wallen, Wheaton and many others in areas of Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Arkansas, Texas and Oklahoma.

 | pictures May I have permission to use your photos you posted on Oak Hill Cemetery graves (George and Eliza Parkhurst or others) to post on my Facebook page "Quenemo, Kansas 66528". It is a page I set up to draw interest in Quenemo history. Thank You for your response, Mike. | | | Lostnwyomn
 | RE: Dorothy Hildreth Obituary I guess it's up to you. I always include the copyright with the newspaper's information, that way I'm acknowledging that the information is the copyright of the newspaper.

 | RE: Louis Grabeel No problem. I love doing this. I have so many more photos to upload but it sure takes awhile. We have been without power and internet since last Monday due to the hurricane so I am very far behind. Just got back service at home today. We are very lucky. Let me know if I can help with anything else. Have a great day. Gladys | | | terrirn143
 | Related Hello Lisa,
I saw your beautiful note on my Mom's memorial (Maxine Iveta Grunden Cook) and know that if you are a distant relative of hers, then you surely are of mine as well. Please free to email me through find a grave at any time as if I have any pertinent information for your research, I shall be glad to share.
Thank you.

 | RE: infant son cook If this helps any, George H Cook. died in 1927 in Columbus. His wife Amanda Keith Cook died in 1943 also in Columbus and both their obits said they had lived there for a number of years. | | | Catie & Will
 | RE: infant son cook Such a confusing bunch of people! I removed the names. Also found there was a George H Cook who married Amanda Keith. They are both buried in Columbus, Indiana. There is also a George L. - who isn't related to the ones we are looking for. The George married to Phoebe can't be found. Catie and Will | | | Catie & Will
 | infant son cook I just checked the Tipton County Cemetery records and what is written on the infant's site was info that was found on the index.
I really don't want to remove it unless you can show me this info isn't correct.
