Something I forgot to add, I am always on the lookout for unusual names, have added quite a few that are the only one listed, which is hard to do on here.I also wanted to tell everyone , many thanks for the updates, corrections, add on articles etc, and apologize for never writing back and saying it is done..I will always do the edit, but do not write everybody to let them know I did..I get so many edit requests, and do not mind doing them at all...Thanks again....I live in Baton Rouge La.Though I have listings in many states, most are within a days drive on my home.I really enjoy fulfilling photo requests, it is like a treasure hunt, and I like knowing I am helping a loved one connect in some small way.I love driving back roads and finding cemeteries in the middle of nowhere.I add veterans of most all the wars,as a small tribute to those that have shaped our country. But I have a special affinity for the guys of World War II.These soldiers are the reason today we are a free country and we are losing them at a rate of over 1100 a day.Take time out to thank them .And then there are the ones that reach out and for whatever reason touch me.I also seek any family last names, such as Cox,Cover,Vaughn.I usually enter the info directly from the grave marker, but will add any info requested. If any errors are found please let me know and I will correct.I do find such peace and love and sadness while walking these sites. Also every one of these I have entered I actually walked the cemetery. Therefore a little more personal to me. Please if you are new on here, we do welcome you, but be respectful of the rules and regulations.I want to apologize for all my errors. When I first started entering graves 11 years ago, i wrote the info down and transferred it, many times it was raining or I just could not understand my writing. Later years I add from a picture usually. So please forgive my early attempts | |

 | Savinien Cart I saw your post about Savinien Cart, Iota Cemetery. I am his great grandson, live in Lafayette, LA. My connections on my mothers side are the Leger/Cart and on my Dad's side the Carroll/Smith. Mother was from Iota LA and Dad was from Pelican LA. I have many pictures of headstones from the Pelican Cemetery and also the The Grove Hill Cemetery in DeSota Parish LA.

 | Elias B Golmon #15348830 Would you please transfer this memorial to me. Elias B is my great uncle. I have other family buried in this same cemetery, one being my sister that died as a baby. My Daddy actually pastored this church where this cemetery is. This cemetery and church has been and is a big part of our lives. Fond memories were made here and spoke of to those of us who were not yet born. Thank you for your time and work you do. Renee Guy | | | jane Mangum
