I was born in Jackson, MS and graduated from Gulfport HS.

In 2003 after living in CA for 43 years my husband and I returned to Florence, MS to live.

I became interested in my family history during the early 1990's. As I searched for ancesters in old cemeteries I was saddened to see the neglect and damage to beautiful old headstones and monuments so when I became aware of find a grave I knew that this was something I wanted to do. I get great pleasure in photographing and recording cemetery markers for people on FAG.

The iron marker in my bio picture is in Greenwood Cemetery, Jackson's oldest cemetery and was made by Pearl River Foundrey owned and operated by a family member in the late 1800's.

I am sad to report that Lakewood Memorial Park has said that they will no longer give out burial locations to anyone from FAG. I will still fulfill request that include Section and lot numbers. The phone number for Lakewood is (601)922-2123. I plan to go out to the cemetery to take pictures at random which I will add if needed. Only about half the cemetery is recorded. I must give credit and many thanks to my husband, Les for his help in searching for markers.
