PLEASE NOTE: March 2013: Kidney stones, three biopsies, treatment for the results of the biopsies, etc. on top of a broken foot. Life has not been kind to me this year. I am catching up - please be patient.
I will consider what are known as out of guideline requests.
Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.
No email address is listed as an immediate family member has been victimized by a stalker.
Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me? First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
************************** Many thanks to everyone who has contributed information and photos for my memorials. I usually link to the individual contributor using HTML code. If this is unacceptable to you just let me know you prefer to remain anonymous. | |

 | Pansy Utley memorials Hi, I received your message through findagrave about creating two memorials for Pansy Utley. There are two Pansy Utley's buried here. One was a 25 year old. The other is a two month old. The first died giving birth to the second.

 | Joseph Yarnell at Lake View I know that the newspaper states his place of death as Latona. However, I dont' know where in Washington Latona is, do you? Secondly, the actual death register says he died at the "W. Wash. Hosp. for Insane" which I believe would be Ft. Steilacoom--do you know if the Ft. Steilacoom area was ever known as Latona? Since I do not have a definitive answer on this, I have so far left the location of his death off of his memorial.

 | McDonnell Hi, You have a Sarah Ann McDonnell 1809-2/20/1833 listed at Oak Hill Cemetery Plot Corcoran Lot 272 Memorian # 93987304 on your list. Can you tell me if it says "Daughter of" on the stone, I can not read it and would very much like to know if this is a member of my family. My Great Grandfather's name was Thomas McDonnell born in the District of Columbia. ThanksAdded by Yampop on Jun 10, 2013 9:33 AM | | | Charlie Weaver
 | Otho M. Linthicum I have found a mention of two children of an Otho M. Linthicum, of Georgetown, District of Columbia, having two children that died of scarlet fever. Their names were George M. (born abt 1827) and Ann Elizabeth (born abt 1825). Do you know if they are his children or not? I don't have much more info than that. If they are his children, I would be happy to send you what the obit said.
Just trying to clear up some of my Linthicum family.

 | Harry Sirginson obit. Adding an obituary is against Find A Grave's policies, so I won't be adding it. See below:
"Can I add an obituary to my interment listing? You should not copy obituary notices from newspapers to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary. Some obituaries that were published in 1922 or earlier are now in the public domain. In general, obituaries in newspapers are submitted by the family with assistance from the funeral home. If the obituary is added to the memorial record, it should list the newspaper and date the obit was printed for example "Published in the Hattiesburg American, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Internet Edition, April 11, 2007". Please do not include the names of living or surviving relatives in the biography, unless you have their permission. If you do not have permission to copy an obituary to a memorial, you may put a note stating the name of the newspaper and the date the obituary was published. Please do NOT add photographs from obituary notices (unless you, personally took the photo), as they are protected by copyright law. Find A Grave reserves the right to remove obituary notices and photographs from memorial records. Similarly, you may NOT scan an obituary and add it as a photograph to a memorial record. Obituaries for "famous" individuals are usually written by newspaper staff and can not be posted to Find A Grave as the newspaper company owns that copyright. Please do not include website addresses that may be listed in the obituary as they usually expire within a year after the obituary is printed."Added by heeyjude on May 31, 2013 7:32 AM | | | | [View all messages...] |
