I am not actively researching my late husband's Gaines line. Check my file: http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=maold I update it after the 1st of each month but a may not have anything new on the line. Hope you find someone to give the book to. You could also consider donating it to the LDS Family History library or a local genealogical society.

re: Penelope Mercer Borden Memorial# 130771662
Gail and Penelope had eight children:
Mary 1829-1833, Henry Lee 1832-1902, Morton Quinn 1834-1846, Philip 1836-Deceased, Philadelphia Wheeler
1837-1880, Stephen Austin 1839-1844, Mary Jane
1841-1912, John Gail 1844-1892. All born in Texas.
I thought you might like to add this list to her memorial and add links for
John Gail, Memorial# 53013875
Philadelphia Wheeler "Phila" Borden Johnson, Memorial# 6579425
I am curious why I can't find a memorial for Henry Lee who is said to be buried in Woodlawn also. Same for H.L.'s widow Retta.
Let me know if you would like the sources for the children. I am a descendant of Retta's sister, Mary. I got bored and researched all of Mary's siblings recently.
Thanks for your work.

My mother-in-law, Nancy Biggs Kieckhefer is related to a Sally Ann O'Cain. Sally was married three times; first married to William O'Cain. Second and third marriages I am not sure of. Is it possible that your Sallie Find A Grave # 63563397 b 1813 d 1886 is the daughter of William O'Cain b 1790 d 1850, Find A Grave # 73870143? I believe my ex-wife is related to her. I am the contributor for the recent post to her memorial including inscription on the reverse of the photo.
Ray, Thanks so much for taking the pic of Dixie and her husband!!!
