I have been a high school US History teacher for the past 30 years, researcher, and collector of historical items mainly military items. I love to take these items to show my students and others that history is something you can touch. I recently returned from a year in Afghanistan with the Indiana National Guard. I volunteered after being out of the military for over 25+ years. Talk about seeing history - I saw it!|
For the past 27 years my students and myself have been looking for the families and friends of the 1621 Indiana casualties of the Vietnam War. We did all the research for the World War II,Korean and Vietnam Memorials in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. If you can help please email me. firstname.lastname@example.org

So delighted to see the photo you posted of my Great Grandfather. My Mom has never seen this photo before and we'd love to hear where you found it! Mom says he joined when he was very young, and lied about his age to get into the military. He looks like my son and my older brother when he was young.

Thomas, I am requesting permission to use any of your headstone photos you have taken of my family/ancestors to use for my own family tree and genealogy. Would you mind? Please let me know. I always thank you all that are Find A Grave volunteers! I will await your reply ~ Eva

You are very welcome! Vets are near and dear to my heart and I love this cemetery!
I enjoyed reading the newspaper article about Green Miller's father and the dogtags. Would you also put the newspaper article on Green's father memorial? His father is listed on the family links on Green's memorial page. Thank you.

Thank you for adding the photos to Green Miller's memorial page. I found his name on the Vietnam Memorial Wall years ago when I was on vacation in Washington DC.

Thank you for creating a memorial for my paternal Grandfather, Joseph Szymczak. (mem # 78865976) If his memorial does not hold sentimental value to you, would you mind transferring it to me? It would mean a great deal to me, if I could link him to other family members and add photos.
Thank you for your consideration and for the time and effort you put in to volunteering!
