|I am an amateur genealogist, researching my paternal Irish ancestors (immigrating through Canada) and my maternal ancestors from Poland, both families settling in eastern Nebraska. |
I first became interested in family history when I was about 20 years old, and I wish I had begun to interview family members at that time. I would be MANY years closer to finding answers than I am today!

|Carol||RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 3519897|
I'm sorry I can't be of any assistance.
She doesn't show up in the VA Gravesite Locator as being buried in this or any military cemetery under the surname Baehr. There is a chance she could be buried in this cemetery. VA records aren't perfect. But the odds are so stacked against that, I wouldn't even consider it. Without a plot location we are stuck unless someone stumbles across something in the future.
At the time I took the photo of William's marker I was in the process of redoing the markers in Section OS. I had, and still have, a lot of bad photos that needed replacing. I simply went up and down the rows. If she had been buried next to him, I would have gotten the photo and created a memorial page if one hadn't already been created.
Good luck with your search.

|C.C.Diamond||ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest|
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

|KMurphy||Stanley & Louise Kula Kaluza|
Hello - I just found amamzing pictures of my great-grands on this website and am wondering if there is anyway I could get copies of the pictures. My grandfather was their son Thomas, who married Josephine Dombrowski, mother of my Mom, Josephine Kaluza Murphy. I am now going to look up Ta and Bushi to see if their is anything of their records at St Johns. Thank You,

|Kathy Burr||RE: Kawa/Praprocki records|
Just rechecked where I found all this info! the best source is the 1930 Census for Veronica Kava - it lists children:
Veronica was pregnant with Stanley Jr when Stanley Sr died so Jr is not mentioned in Sr's obit
Yes, Florian and Florence were often interchanged
Would love to "find" the other children and get them linked to their parents!! Do you have any resources in your family??
No, we're not related - i'm linking everybody in Sherman Co and so many of their descendents moved to S Omaha - so I'm gradually trying to work on St Johns where many of my relatives are buried
Please do what you can to work on all the Kawa/Kava clan!! thanks so much for your help!! :) k
This request for transfer does not compute, please re-check you request, thanks

|Patti Yelick||John Mitera|
My grandparents were Stanislaus and Anna Luba Siedlik. They lived in South Omaha. My father's was Thomas F. Siedlik. His sister Josephine said that our family was related to a Mitera family and also Krzemien family in South Omaha. Do you know of any connection?

|Thomas Pyzdek||Are we related?|
My name is Tom Pyzdek. I see that you contributed photos of my paternal Polish Grandparents' gravestone, Andrew Pyzdek and Agnes Kawa Pyzdek. I also see that you are also of Irish ancestry, as am I. I am curious if we are related.
|Shirley (Bruhn) Martys||William Gentleman|
I transferred William Gentleman to you. I am fairly certain there is not stone at the St Patrick's Cemetery as we have walked and taken pictures of them all but back in the 1970's or 80's, there was vandelism done to the cemetery and his may have been one of them. I suggest you contact the Catholic cemetery in Platte Center and see if they have a location for him...Shirley
