As I am not related to 99% of the memorials I create on this site, I would be happy to transfer to family members. I ask, however, that you please send your requests for transfer and/or additions/corrections from the edit field within the memorial. You can also add a flower to the memorial which will give me your member number. Without a member number I cannot transfer.|
Also please do not send e-mails as I may not read them for a while.
NOTE: I HAVE REPLACED MANY OF THE SMALL PHOTOS FOR CHESTER BETHEL CEMETERY IN DELAWARE. AS YET, I HAVE MANY MORE TO INPUT. IF YOU COME ACROSS A MEMORIAL WITH A SMALLER PHOTO, PLEASE SEND ME AND EDIT AND I WILL INPUT A LARGER PHOTO.

|Kurt Lau||Margaret Corson Epitaph (N.J.)|
Hello, I'm glad that you've added a photo to a record that I added about 8 months before yours on the same person. Your picture is very clear. If you read the inscription under the birth/death info., you'll see what I wrote as her epitaph. If you can believe this, I wrote this from MEMORY! I remember growing up in southern N.J. (Millville, to be precise) in the 1970's and my Uncle Donald (R.I.P. 1944-2012)would tell us of this gravestone at Head of The River Cemetery (back then we thought it was in Tuckahoe, but I guess Estell Manor), anyway, he used to SCARE THE PANTS OFF OF US by telling us about the inscription on Margaret Corson's grave. I have an EXCELLENT memory of those times, and when he would say "Beware my friend(s) as you pass by, as you are now, so once was I, as I am now, so must you be (or must so you be), prepare for death, and follow me..." My brothers and I would sit and analyze that saying and although it's kind of creepy/scary, there is so much truth to it! I didn't realize until years later, that epitaph is more common than I thought (especially in those times). I've told that to my kids as well. On a lighter note about the gravestone photo, and I'm not trying to be picky, but to me, it appears that the age that you have written of "aged 25yrs, 5mos, & 11days" looks more like "aged 21yrs, 7mos, & 11days". Now, I may be wrong about this, but take a CLOSE look at the picture (when you get a chance) and tell me what you think/see. By the way I still have a sister who lives in Millville, various relatives, and my father is buried there in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery (Raymond Lau 1935-1981 in the Vet. section). I have lived in southeat GA since 1996, and don't a chance to get up that way much anymore, but I believe that when MY time comes, I would like to buried up there (back home). Anyway thanks again for posting the gravestone photo!... Kurt Lau

Hi Joz -- thanks for the transfer! And you left a flower -- how sweet!

hmmm, I don't know how to delete the "flower" - it's the United Methodist symbol and I thought I got it from the links that are provided by the website.
