Bio and Links
Bio Photo Edits need to be entered under the edit section of the memorial. There are many options, as well as a blank option to fill in what you wish to be edited.

Sending three transfer requests for the same person in less than a week will not help. I have limited times to work on edits and often multiple edits. If after 30 days you have not received a response, then request again.

Just because someone's name is on a marker............doesn't mean they have passed. I have had 2 family members who are ALIVE deleted due to someone adding them. Death date unknown is not appropriate for someone who has not passed.

If I make an error, by all means let me know. POLITELY please. If you decline an edit I make, it gives you the option to explain why or to question the edit. This is fine, but don't leave a tacky public message questioning "so why????"

If you have disabled your public messages, do not expect others to appreciate when you leave them a negative comment.............I guess they disable theirs to protect themselves from responses.

If I have added a photo to a memorial, and you would like it added to another (ie spouse, child, etc.) please make a request and I will do so. Please do not just add a photo of mine. I work hard to take these photos, edit them, and add them. Also, I do believe this is against FAG policy.

RE: Small world

You must be talking about Margaret Gordon Chapel. She and I were classmates at Shelbyville High School. We played in the band together.

I could tell you some stories about her that would probably not surprise you. ha.

Looking forward to meeing you and showing you those post cards.

RE: Evelyn
It would be okay to leave the rest as it is. Thanks very much for changing her date of birth so quickly.

RE: Evelyn
Thank you for correcting my mother's date of birth. I did not feel defensive and I am sorry if I sounded that way. Since I am new to this, I didn't know if my word was good enough or if I would need proof.

I do have another question and I can understand if you cannot make this change because it was not a typo on your part but an initial mistake on mine. My mother actually retired in December 1993. Is there any way you can put that in the third paragraph, line 2 and take out January 1994?

Thanks either way; I appreciate having her date of birth changed.

RE: Evelyn
My preference would be to correct her birthdate, if you can. Thanks again.

RE: Evelyn
What do you mean by transferring her to me? I would like to know if her birthdate can be corrected. She was born on January 26th not the 6th. The gravestone in the picture will confirm what I am saying. If you cannot correct this, then you can transfer it to me or remove the entire page. I actually found this page by accident. Thank you.

RE: changed
I apologize if I was harsh, it was far from my intention. Please understand that since Casey passed away our children and I have had to deal with several individuals that have claimed to be family members soliciting donations on behalf of the kids for their own personal gain. I sincerely appreciate that you did not publish the articles that someone requested, as they represented themselves as family. I would also like to thank you for posting her final resting place on this site, there have been multiple friends of ours that were not able to attend the services that have been able to see the grave because of your kindness. Please understand that following this senseless tragedy I have been very protective of our children's privacy, once again due to several "family" members. Casey was adopted by a great gentleman who passed away in 2003. Her mother is not in great mental health, so therefore we have minimal family that is TRUE family. Yes, I have been a Funeral Director in the local area. I served my internship at Meeks Mortuary before I became the Manager of Garden View Funeral Home prior to the location being sold to a large corporation. At that point the staff was replaced with out of town employees already working for the new company. Following that unfortunate buy out I have done only trade embalmings. Once again, I thank you for removing the information, not publishing what someone misrepresenting themselves as "family" requested, and for contributing to the site so that others can view Casey's memorial from a distance. If you ever require any assistance in locating a grave or information, please do not hesitate to ask. As you can see by the current grave marker, Casey's final expenses were paid by me and I can assure you that anyone else representing themselves as family, have zero say so in the matter. Thank you once again, and please accept my apology for sounding rather rude. Best wishes.

RE: Pics

Yes I have had the same issue myself, I have found my pictures on Ancestry on other peoples trees and several pictures used on findagrave without consent.
I agree we work to hard for some to use pictures without asking first, it is frustrating!

Enjoy This Great Day
